Batman/Doc Savage preview
I hope this is allowed. One page from the Batman/Doc Savage preview backup in Superman Blackest Night #3.

I was going to add commentary but I think this speaks for itself...

Well, it ain't rocket science - it's the same basic thing that teaser trailers do for a movie. Show the public a liiiiiiiittle bit of what it either wants or does NOT want to see, then sit back and wait. People who see what they want will go 'cool! I gotta check this out!', people who see what they don't want will go 'WHAT?! NO #@!%IN' WAY!' and check it out in the hopes that their initial impressions are incorrect and they will be pleasantly surprised (which is almost exactly what happened with me and the 'Spirit' movie, by the way. I wasn't pleasantly surprised). Either way, it creates publicity, and publicity gets people to buy comics/get their butts into movie theaters to see what all the fuss is about. Basic psychology really. Still, nice to know that people like my post!
