Amazing Spider-Man #608

We were first introduced to Damon Ryder  in Amazing Spider-Man Annual #36.

In the present, Ryder attacked Peter as the Raptor, thinking Peter was really Ben and blaming him for his family's death.

We see more of Ben and Damon's history in #608...

In the present, Damon confronts Peter at the offices of Front Line. Peter manages to put a spider-tracer on his jacket, which leads him to an abandoned warehouse where he gets attacked by Kaine. Meanwhile, Damon pays a visit to Peter's roommate Michelle.

Well, I guess at least on a bright side, at least the Marvel Universe acknowledges Ben existed rather than sweep him under the table with the rest of their seemingly "2nd clone saga never happened" mandate

Actually, they've done a number of clone saga references in the last couple of years. Peter mentions Ben Reilly a number of times in Mark Millar's run (to the point where I thought that, since the story was a take on "Hush", that Ben Reilly was going to be the evil mastermind ala Jason Todd) and during Civil War Peter's public alias as a teacher is "Ben Reilly". The principal compliments Peter by saying "I wish we could clone you" to which Peter responds, "No, you really don't want to do that."
