Spreading unconfirmed rumors for beginners
Well Geoff Johns announced that he and Francis Manapul will be on Flash, I understand that Johns will stay on Green Lantern that he will head up a new core Justice League Of America title to be announced shortly. So while Geoff keeps control over the League and two of its members, friend and colleague Grant Morrison will be keeping the others in check, continuing a monthly Batman book but also adding a Superman and Wonder Woman book to the mix, for the full Trinity set.

From BleedingCool.com

I realize that I'm in the minority when it comes to my blind, seething hatred for Grant Morrison's writing style and everything he represents in the industry, so I'll reserve my vitriol for later. But giving Grant Morrison--Grant "girl power, bondage, and disturbed sexuality" Morrison--a Wonder Woman title? Be not proud.

For legality, something that has nothing to do with anything, but should at least bring a smile to someone's face. From Secret Six #9:

I didn't say that I hate that he likes the characters he's writing. I said that I hate everything he represents in the industry. He's the poster child for the dialing back of characterization of the Silver Age that runs rampant in both DC and Marvel right now, and I hate that. I also don't like his writing, which is a personal preference and not something that can really be debated.

And you're entitled to. It's just, there are people guilty of doing that far more frequently, and a hell of a lot worse, than him. But that last volume of JLA sold gangbusters for a reason -- it was good. And even if you didn't think so, which you are entirely entitled to think, a majority of paying customers felt so.

And his Wonder Woman was actually pretty darn awesome during that run. Sure, she didn't take sole focus, but nobody did. The book sat in its own little continuity and wasn't dragged down by what was happening everywhere else (which is not the fault of the individual writer). I think this is the kind of thing he might really excel at. But whatever.

Yes. Which is why putting Morrison on titles that are expected to be in continuity and play well with others is a terrifically bad idea. Give him his own sandbox to play in and let him create exquisite silica faerielands, but for god's sake, don't let him touch (and inevitably break) the flagship characters.
