There were things that had been bothering Booth ever since his arrival here. Their failed escape attempt was still grating on his nerves and the fact that Brennan seemed so damned oblivious to his feelings for her was starting to really rankle him as well. She talked to other men, and she should really have the right, but he wanted her to himself.
It was time he apologized, though. He'd been acting like a real ass and he knew it. Brennan had called him out on it more than once in the last few days. He grabbed some Chinese from the newly re-opened restaurant and headed for her building.
Swallowing his pride was not something Booth did often or willingly, but he knew that he'd been difficult to be around since the storm. He knocked on her door and put on the smile he knew he ought to have been wearing for the last few weeks. "You in there, Bones?" He leaned against the door frame outside the room, waiting for her to open the door.
