In the meantime, as each shock sends fire through your veins, something tears and slips through your fingers. Images spring to mind as white starbursts of agony cloud your vision...

… conversations over the table...
…. your first taste of...
… catching …. fall asleep...
… a comforting hand on your shoulder..
….looking up the throne and there's THAT face...
… your teammates faces, in joy, pain, worry … fear... hope... desperation...
… even flashes of your past...

They begin to blur and vanish... there's so much racing by, fading, shredding... instinctively you reach out for …]
