[Sometimes you just can't go half an hour in Sabra without something breaking the peace. Relatedly, there's a gratingly loud noise coming from the arena. If you head down there, two rough circles have been sketched on the floor. This thing is standing inside one. Two Uraeus are loitering around the other one, discussing important matters.]

How do we know they didn't write them down, but those notes didn't survive, possibly intentionally destroyed by the Judges? The notes that did survive were incredibly cryptic, and yet we know that more would have been in the journals than what. One page each for each team?

As to that, perhaps it was a completely new incident in a new and dangerous wing, where things that would not have been strange or signaled disaster in our previous homes suddenly do exactly that! Perhaps the judges, who have seen this happen presumably several times, have a keener eye for what to watch for! Or perhaps the symptoms are outside of our sight, only showing up wherever the judges happen to live when they're not tormenting us.
