[It looks like there's been a hasty barrier rigged at the bottom— most of the door is blocked by a large slab of wood (the table?). It's definitely enough to prevent anything large coming through, but down in one corner, if you happen to be snake-sized instead of being a large, bipedal reptile, there's definitely a spot just big enough to slip through.

And just beyond, if it were to lunge a metre, maybe a metre and a half, is a definite heat source in the room beyond. Gentle heat, too—none of the flare of the torches.]

Hydras, you know, are very large creatures, even compared to Orion's gliders. Many many heads, each a serpent of its own, all aiming at the same goal . . .

And as the glider's neck comes through, there is a heavy thud as the edge of the barricade slips just a bit, weighted table legs adding to the sudden suffocating pressure.]

[There is still no heat from the figure beside the door, the one just close enough to push away the stool that had held the table.
