. . . I'm not in any position to reject anybody because of mistakes they made, or things they've done. As far as I'm concerned . . . the past needs to be the past. It can shape us and inform us, but it can't take away what already exists. Even if I'm sad, or angry, or bereft—now is a time when most of all I need to be there for the people that love me, and need them close to me more than ever.
