And as he answered, "I just know how it is." A lot of people see Hydra and Vulpecula as ruthless. And maybe in some ways we are, but no more than others can be and we don't hide it. Scowl thinks he's seen as a monster because of that and other things that have happened in his time here. Little can change that.

It's not about opinions. It's how Scowl sees himself and how he projects that onto others' opinions of him. More like. He thinks you think he's a monster because he thinks he's a monster because others think he's a monster. Except he doesn't think he's a monster at all but he's scared of the possibility. So people pointing out these things to him make that fear a reality.

Something like that anyway.

I don't care if people see him as a monster or not. The point was that he went after Mikaila - and I understand why. It's between Lepus and Hydra. I was just upset over it.

If I really thought of him that way at all, why would I bother confronting him in the first place?

It colors everything he perceives. Just like how I was called a traitor by someone on my own team just because I see the individuals on teams rather than the actions of one determining the whole of the team.

You can explain yourself blue in the face that something isn't the case but they won't believe it until you prove to them otherwise. And even then, it's met with suspicious and uncertainty.
