Who: YOU (=
Where: Arena
When: Day 79, Morning
What: GAME

[You find the arena littered with butterflies, per usual, and while there is no seating provided, there floor is carpeted with cool, springy grass. There are also twelve blackboards placed against a long, white wall.]

Good morning, everyone. Please wait while everyone gathers. I understand that lately many of the games have caused great stress, while this is, perhaps, to be expected, I think it is fair to allow for breaks as well. Today's game will be simple, if challenging, and there will be no cause for harm, nor any punishments.

Make yourselves comfortable, we will begin shortly.

Are you hurt...?

My arm's... still there, right?

W-Watch it, it still feels funny.

I think so... I lost it in my memory just now.

I admit I am wondering about both.

[points at the tooth marks]

This happened by the lake, the other day. A monster started chasing after me, Geddoe tried to help, but in the end I got bitten anyway.

It looks like it was rather large...

It was. I stabbed it in the head and Geddoe electrocuted it, but it still managed to get back in the lake safely.

It sounds dangerous. Something might have to be done about it...

I'll kill it. I can actually do it, now.

There isn't a thing in this world I can't kill.

[looking away]

Exactly what it means. There are flaws in everything: humans, animals, objects, time, will... I can see the death in everything that exists.

Not really, no. The more flaws something has, the easier it is to kill, but...

But that doesn't mean things should be killed, without reason. They can, but then it becomes meaningless.

You don't strike me as the type to be careless with it... I do expect your intent, at least, is to use it only when it is needed.
