On May 1st, 2027 the Daily Prophet revealed a new column called The Karma Files. Penned by an anonymous source, the Karma Files divulged gossip and secrets of the juiciest sort. At first, it was amusing. Little tidbits that made life...interesting, to say the least. All around London, witches and wizards are all talking about the column. But then, the secrets start to get darker, and it becomes obvious that the author of the Karma Files has a grudge against the Wizarding World. The more dangerous the column becomes, the more everyone wonders: How is this person finding out their deepest, darkest secrets? And how can they be stopped? |

Dear Resident:
Welcome to The Estates.
You will not find greater folk than the people you meet here. Our prosperous little town is a growing family town made up of the best schools and jobs in the country. Our town Sheriff and his stuff of Gunslingers are dedicated to keeping the residents of the town safe and keeping the streets clean. There's plenty of room in our stables to house your horses and enough room at our Saloon and Hotel to rest a few nights if you're only here temporarily. Our town is safe from outside magic and mutant creatures.
As you may have heard, we are also the only town within four of the surrounding states that still has an abundant supply of electricity. Our electricity operator is dedicated to the best service possible.
For your medical needs, our town's hospital is fully staffed and equipped to take care your illness or injury. Should you have an emergency, our town's bell alarm service keeps the folks at the fire and rescue station alert of problems.
Water supply is endless with the nearby Colorado River that flows through the mountains. And there are plenty of jobs around the town so everyone can be gainfully employed.
I'd like to be the first to welcome you to our fair city. I know you'll enjoy our scenic views and our excellent way of life. If you have any questions or concerns, never hesitate to come by my office.
Sincerely, Thomas McGill Mayor of The Estates

The Estates is a mix of the Old West, a little bit of fantasy, and futuristic science fiction all rolled into one, inspired by Stephen King's The Dark Tower series, Dungeons & Dragons, Everquest, and science fiction. What happens when a small town out in the Arizona desert is the only town within four surrounding states that has electricity after the world has nearly run out of its natural resources over four hundred years from now? Throw in a few elves, magicians, sorcerers, and gunslingers, and there's one helluva pot to stir.
Game opens 30 May or with fifteen apps, whichever comes first.

It is 1789, approximately one month before the French Revolution hits Paris. In London, the citizens are pleasantly oblivious to any trouble in their neighbouring country. The government are aware of a plight brewing amongst the bourgeoise but believe those involved will not cause a spill to the streets of their city.
Life goes on. French visitors already in the Capital enjoy their time, the noble classes continue their affairs and the less fortunate make the most of their lives. Little do they realise that soon the streets will be awash with French aristocrats seeking sanctuary, hidden organisations, spies, exotic new women threatening the business of city veterans, countless new heroes and even more villains. Those who were already here cannot go home. Not only will London residents need to deal with their own complicated lives, but an influx of others seeking help and, sometimes, information they will do anything to get.
In what area do you fall? English peasant, noble or deviant? French aristocrat, servant, or revolutionary? And more importantly, how will you fare during one of the most pressing times of French history? |

Ashford Manor RPG |

Ashford Manor
"Sometimes the weather here is delightful. I enjoyed having tea outside yesterday. It was very relaxing...at least, until one of the maids discovered a book in the library that opened up a portal to another dimension where a dragon was being kept. It took hours for the staff to clean out the corpse after defeating it. I better buy another carpet, I don't believe dragon's blood is likely easy to remove after the stains set in." - August L. Ashford on a typical day in Ashford Manor.
It has been whispered among many circles that there's something unusual about the main Ashford family and their home. It's been said that many ages ago, a god of chaos and a muse fell in love and bore one child. When that child fell in love with a human woman, the Ashford family lineage began. Perhaps it is the diluted blood of the gods that draws such strange occurances and unique characters to them and their home.
Welcome to Ashford Manor, where the upper class and somewhat-mysterious Ashfords live. Ashford Manor is a strange but not altogether unsettling place so large that no one has ever quite been able to finish counting the rooms in it, yet everyone tends to find their way around well enough. It's a warm, chaotic, crazy, calm, hilarious and startling ride to even just live in the Ashford manor, let alone try to keep the place running. It takes a myriad of butlers and maids to run the place and keep the upper class citizens they work for content. They work hard and play hard, and it hasn't been unknown for the staff to sometimes face dragons, pirate raids, talent scouts and genre-shifts. Despite this, somehow people from all walks of life end up working here - regular humans, cyborg ninjas, necromancers, shapeshifters, elves and aspiring celebrities alike are not rare occurances here, though some will never feel that such things are relatively close to normal. Ashford Manor is a place where you might find the place you belong...or that the place you belong has been stolen by space pirates. Sometimes it makes the people you work for look normal!
GAME STARTS: May 15, 2011 or when we gain 18 characters, whichever comes first.
We're currently looking for maids and butlers; maybe a few upper class people to stay at the Ashford Manor too!
-------
Ashford Manor is an RPG loosely based off the tabletop Maid RPG. You don't need to know anything about it to be able to play this, as every piece of information you need will be provided to you on your way in! The gist isn't to focus on rolling random dice while playing the game, but to create a fun, dramatic group of characters to interact with each other. It's designed to have something for almost everyone - humor, drama, action and slice of life moments!
