Ashford OOC

So anyone who might want to save a record of the logs that happened last time we played with this, uh, go save that stuff. Because I'm clearing it for when I restart Ashford in a few months.

I have to look all this stuff over again, but the general idea I have for now is...
A) Advertise a lot.
B) See who comes.
C) Start the game in a month or two after that, likely sometime in June or July.

Is anyone obligated to be part of this just because they were part of it previously? No. If you want to keep with it, does that mean you have to keep the same characters? No.

Not sure if there'd be any other questions, but that's what came to mind as possible ones first.

Due to the the increasing of activity in my life and taking advantage of the game's currently static condition, I will no longer be roleplaying in Ashford. I will, of course, finish up any threads/plots requiring the participation of my characters. Following that, any of my characters are available to play:

Marguerite's Profile is lady_laurent

Sebastian's Profile is man_of_love

I have a third character I haven't had the pleasure to play: Trigger Winchester, sister of character Bullet Winchester who has also not yet made an appearance in the game (the player's computer is currently kaput!). The dice have been rolled for character outcomes, but a profile has not been written. She is loose_trigger.

Edit: From June 22 through July 8, I'll be away on vacation again - but this time, I'm fairly positive that I'll have some more access to the Internet. I know where there are some Wifi spots, and the place I'm staying (my grandmother's) does have a computer... but I've never tried to access Insanejournal on it. And it's an old computer which runs on Windows 2000. Eep.

Therefore, I'll know within a day or so when I'm there whether or not I'll be able to post moderately, or sparringly, and I will let you players who are still playing know here. I'll also definitely be reachable by email (though at times you might have to give me 24 hours to reply, depending on what I may be doing from day to day).

Also Edit: Chris's computer still not working well as far as I know, but hopefully she'll be back before long.

Starting tomorrow until Monday, I myself will be out of town! I will be back on the Interwebz by Monday or Tuesday.

Unsure why Chris is still MIA at this point. Try spamming her with angry mails! xD Well, not angry angry mails. But lots of emails nonetheless.

Just in case anyone was wondering!

At Midnight EST, Ashford begins. If anyone's nervous about third person posts and such, don't worry too much about the format; if you get it wrong I'll just gently prod you so you know in the future - for anyone who is nervous regardless, I'll be posting two threads around 12:30 AM/1:30 AM EST that'll be open for people to jump into with August and Julius.

If you have any questions, let me know, but I might not be able to respond until 12:30ish.

Two of the players are still getting ready for the game and have requested more time; since the game has so few people right now and pretty much just consists of...five people writing 11 characters, I'm assuming it's best that I delay the beginning of the game by two days.

Which means the opening date of the game will be Tuesday, May 17th.

This is also so that everyone has some time to finish discussing whatever they might want to discuss before the game. =3

I really hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone, and if Tuesday is a really bad day? I'm open to discussing whether to shift it to a later day that week. Basically, don't be afraid to speak up!

Don't be discouraged, though, either - the game's definitely going to start soon.

Hi guys! Chris here. I write August, Julius and Bullet. I thought I'd propose something potentially fun to discuss before the RP starts on the 15th.

If your characters have been in Ashford long enough to have started developing some sort of rapport with other characters, even if it's just "I see that guy in passing; he's kind of cool and I think I like him", maybe here's a spot where you can propose that to the other person and see if it gets any plotting going about how much they do or don't know about each other, whether they work well together, have a rivalry going or even outright dislike each other.

Go mad! Basically, post your character's name (one name per thread) and see if it pings any responses - in turn, if anyone puts down a character's name where you have an idea for a relationship, poke them in their thread about it. Etc. etc. It might invite some interesting beginnings.

On the other hand, don't feel obligated to say yes unless the ideas interest you! There's no pressure, and you're not even obligated to post here if you'd rather not. :3
