[04 Aug 2010|12:50am] Twenty-two years and four months ago (give or take a day), Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord. In the years leading up to that fateful day, he and his friends had to grow up too quickly and miss out on some that Hogwarts has to offer, so they could focus on more important things, like saving the entire Wizarding World. Thanks to their heroic actions, the children of Harry, his friends, his enemies, and the people he passed once or twice in the corridors can all go to Hogwarts and grow up on schedule. Without having to sneak out of the Castle to go hunt Horcruxes, the Potters and Weasleys of today (along with the Macmillans, the Smiths, the Whisps, and everybody else) can instead spend their time on more age-appropriate pursuits, like getting pissed out of their minds on contraband firewhiskey. Posteritas is a game focused on character relationships and development instead of an overarching plot, in which your characters will have a typical Hogwarts experience (if there is such a thing). There will be Quidditch matches, trips to Hogsmeade, and surely some good-old fashioned pranks, but the students in school on September 1, 2022 don't have to worry about Death Eaters, dementors, or the dark mark. If you're looking to play an ordinary (or not-so-ordinary) magical teenager with a Hogwarts life made exciting by their peers instead of the outside world, this is the game for you. Science and technology continue to advance with each passing day and after 37 years of peace, the future remains bright for mankind. Or so it would seem... An entire century has passed since the Disaster of 2012 took place and while most have nearly forgotten about the mysterious event, a commotion is beginning to brew amongst the general populace... A mass amount of people claiming to have disappeared during the Disaster of 2012, have recently surfaced, reappearing out of nowhere aboard the American’s floating city, Serenus. Historical records prove their claims to be true, but despite a total of 100 years having passed, none from the group have aged a day. The citizens of Serenus are confused, some even fearful of the Specialis Gens as they have been labeled by the government. Questions are being asked, curiosities are peaked, but those in power continue to deny having any knowledge of the strange occurrence. At least that’s what it looks like on the surface.
