You are lying on a small cot, a table beside you. Upon the table is a device, similar to that of a PDA. Closer inspection reveals your name inscribed upon the back below an insignia the likes of which you have never seen. The device is on. On the screen is a note, written in your native tongue. Once the letter is finished, it disappears and in its place is a map leading you to your assigned housing. The door to the room opens at this time and a computerized voice tells you to exit. The corridor is long and narrow. It deposits you out onto an unfamiliar street. The city is large, the architecture foreign. The door behind you closes and you are left alone. Feel free to explore. You cannot leave the city but all of your needs will be met. Anything you can want, within reason, can be found here. The locals are mostly friendly and compassionate. Their duty is to make your stay here a comfortable one. After all, you are their guest. You are their responsibility. You are now a member of Project Papillon. [01 Feb 2010|02:06am] GAME INFO APPLICATION RULES/FAQ SUPPLANTS TAKEN Welcome to Harmony. It’s a lovely place, clear blue skies and attractive buildings. It’s funny, but even though all you can remember is this place, it feels like you’ve never been here before. Why does it feel that way? Well, probably because it’s true. Sssh, don’t tell; this is a giant experiment, one you can’t get out of. We care about you here in Harmony, and you’re very important to us. We hand picked you from your world, because there was just something about you. We know you will be helpful. It’s important that you feel at home. Almost like you’re not in an experiment at all. So we’re going to give you a new set of family, friends, and memories. Because, don’t forget – we care about you. We want you to feel at home, seeing as from now on, this is your home. So here’s the gist – your character was plucked from their world, and brought to this one. It’s unclear if it’s an alternate dimension or even a different planet. The place has similar atmosphere and appearances as Earth, but how would you ever know if it was or not? From there, something happened to their memory. It’s not clear how that happened, either. All you know is there is a little scar, on your neck, right below your hairline. Maybe you had it before. Or maybe, it has nothing to do with your memory. You have no idea. After you were brought here, and your memory erased, a new one was implanted. Some got a new brother or sister, some got new friends, and some even got new spouses or fiancés. It’s weird, really. You feel like you know them so well, and at the same time, like you don’t know them at all. You have a job, and a place to live. You have a memory of going to school at Harmony High, and parents that have died peacefully. You remember every aspect of this place, because after all, you’ve lived here since you were born. In addition to all that, from time to time, you’ll get a call from the Doctor’s office. You’ll come in, they’ll give you a supposedly harmless shot, and you’ll be on your way. [01 Feb 2010|09:27am] onceuponadream // onceuponamodly THE PREMISE Have you ever dreamed you were someone else and it was so vivid that, for a moment, you were convinced you were that person. It couldn't be, of course. That person isn't even real and dreams are just dreams, right? Or, maybe not. A series of people, all around the world, are experiencing that very thing and, as it turns out, there's much more to it than it being just a dream. Those people are all reincarnations of fictional characters - imaginary people from literature, mythology, nursery rhymes, fairy tales, etc. They don't have conscious memories of their past lives, but, boy, do they dream about them. Some of them even have special abilities related to their former selves. The dreams can be good or bad, but the one thing they all are is vivid. Twixt Heaven and Hell The RPG MODS RPG OOC Rules Apply Character Directory Hunters Gathering Place The Devil’s on the Loose. Whoa, thought it was a nightmare, but no such luck. Heaven and Hell are at war and neither side is looking very promising for the human race. Demons are… well… demons. Most angels are self righteous, manipulative pricks. Where does that leave us? Welcome to the world of Hunters, celestial beings, fiends, unclean spirits and a black ’67 Chevy Impala. There’s a little Apocalypse going on, and ya’ll are invited. God is missing from heaven and the kids decided to throw a hell of a party while he’s away. So where is He, and why isn’t he interceding? Or is he? ”Twixt Heaven and Hell” is a Supernatural RP based on the 5th season of the series, up to episode "Changing Channels", 5.8 with a limited number of players allowed. The show characters are expected to be portrayed as Cannon. No Slash or any other non-cannon style pairings allowed among the show’s scripted players. Original characters are allowed and their sexuality is totally up to the players. This will be an adult game. It allows sexual situations, swearing, and descriptive violence. [01 Feb 2010|11:06pm] The mid-west, smack dab in the middle of the United States. Filled with cities and farms alike. Vast terrain that expands for miles upon miles, seeming like a never ending continuous field. The world is dying, has been dying for months now. The year is 2010, and a form of H1N1 has been killing off the human population, only to bring them back from the dead with hunger in their eyes. One by one civilization seemed to drop like flies. People have started to basically perish, but some still exist. Those that are still alive are desperate to make their way to a compound in Springfield Missouri. A safe haven of sorts where survivors have taken refuge with one another, and continue to try and defend themselves against the dead. Hell is on Earth, and for many, this is all that's left. The compound is guarded heavily by those still alive, and what special forces are still around to do their duty and protect the people. Some live with a bit more luxury with in the vast size of the protective walls, while others are simply glad to still be around. Sound like something you'd be interested in? Brand new community and it would be amazing to get some more holds/apps in.
