THE STRUGGLE WITHIN

We all know what happens with Harry and the Trio during Deathly Hallows and a good many RPGs explore what happened at Hogwarts during this time as well. But what about elsewhere? What was happening at the Ministry and in the lives of those too old for Hogwarts? That is the question The Struggle Within will seek to answer. Any character not at Hogwarts and not part of the Trio is open for casting! We need Ministry workers, Death Eaters, Potterwatch members, Order members, as well as those who just try to keep their heads down and survive!
The Struggle Within is an insanejournal-based game and will focus on plot and character development. Mods will post weekly plot points characters can respond to, and players are encouraged to plot amongst themselves, as well. We're opening with the takeover of the Ministry by the Death Eaters and the disruption of Bill and Fleur's reception, so we're going to start off with a bang!

For five whole years all Will Parry could think about was getting to see her just one more time. Even though he was excelling in all his studies and sitting comfortably at the top of his class, he would often lie awake at night wishing with every fiber of his being that she could be in his presence once more.

Sraf RPG is a multi-fandom, post His Dark Materials Trilogy game in which five years have passed since the story of The Amber Spyglass. The supporters of Metatron have regrouped and caused a rift between the worlds. Now, for reasons unknown to anyone, beings from all different types of worlds are arriving in Lyra's world and discovering the true forms of their dæmons now living outside their bodies.
The occasional Spectre or two have also world-hopped, causing fear and turmoil across the city. Can Will and Lyra find friends among these other-worldly beings? Will the planet ever be safe from the Spectres? And can these other beings be sent back to their own worlds before it's too late?

New York City, and Harbour, have been mysteriously transported back 80 million years to the Cretaceous period. A period where dinosaurs rule over the land, sea, and sky. With the appearance of bees, plants and angiosperms also start to flourish and the weather has settled on temperate. It's a crucial time in Earth's natural evolution history.
Why and how, has NYC become the newest victim of time-travel field trips gone wrong?
Well no one's really sure about that. Whoever did it covered their tracks and left nothing. As if relocating a city through time wasn't impressive enough; time travel itself seems to be prohibited. On top of that, they managed to gather all the heroes, villains, and anyone they ever associated with, and plop them into the city just before the "big move." Also? They've managed to raise the dead, in the non-zombie way. It's all rather impressive, but the lack of answers make it terrifying.
So what happens when the heroes and villains start to lose their abilities as they start to uncover secrets about their major relocation?

X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN MOVIEVERSE RPG  Amara 'Magma' Aquilla is a college student and graduate of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. Rescued from Nova Roma, a city set up by Selene and maintained by her cult, Amara came to the school to learn how to use her powers - the manifestation and manipulation of molten rock and tectonic plates. Quiet, hardworking and friendly to others, she is focussing on learning not only powers control, but about a world from which she was cut off for all her remembered life. There is much for her to discover, both about the world and about herself.
X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and we accept new characters as well as encourage people to adopt one of our orphans. It is September of 2001. It has been just past two years since Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort. Life has slowly begun to return to normal. Witches and wizards everywhere no longer have to look over their shoulders constantly. It's time to focus on careers, relationships, and just moving on in general.
AMORTENTIA? Something strange begins to brew in the wizarding community. People suddenly begin to get sick, reporting symptoms that include a combination of fever or chills, slight hair loss, bright pink spots, itching, and hallucinations. What starts as a small outbreak begins to spread quickly throughout various towns and even Hogwarts, baffling Healers. If untreated, the disease can be fatal. These conditions have no known catalyst and, even more frightening, no known cure. It is highly contagious.
COMING SOON? After some time it will be discovered that the horrific new disease is linked with the love potion Amortentia, and thus referred to as the "Love Plague." Treatment will be developed to hold the disease at bay, but no cure is in sight. Who has unleashed this diabolical weapon upon the wizarding community? Is there any hope to stop this twisted plot? The answers to these questions lie in the brave and noble witches and wizards who must now stand up to solve this mystery and will sacrifice all in the name of the peace Harry Potter brought them...

What began as a silly little prank among friends has ended up as a school wide fad.
A few ambitious Gryffindors decided that since they were unable to find dates to the Halloween Ball, they would create a journal were they could post 'single ads'. This journal was accesible by any female or male in seventh year and served as an anonymous way for girls and boys to 'hook-up'.
A Slytherin who wished to remain anonymous has taken the idea on step further. He set up a service where for two galleons anyone could send in their ad and have it open for response from anyone from the four houses. He assigned each person a codename that they could use when responding and required that the users only contact each other anonymously in the ad journal until the springtime when he is planning a revealing ball when everyone who spoke in the ads could meet face to face. He calls himself 'Romeo".
When Minerva McGonagall, the current headmaster, finds out about the journal ad service, she consults the teachers at Hogwarts. It is concluded that while inappropriate on so many levels, it is fostering a sense of togetherness. It is bringing together students from rival houses.
We are a 7th year game that is focusing on relationships and dating. |
