[25 Jul 2008|01:16am] The Torchwood Hub is a role playing game based on, you guessed it, Torchwood. It takes place after Exit Wounds with a slightly different turnout. The game is based on a rotating plot line. Want The Doctor to meet the team? Want Ianto to save the day? Want the fairies to make a return? With the rotating plot line, members will be able to request any plot, within reason, that they would like to do. After a certain number of time, from weeks to a few months, that plot will take place. When finished, the plot will go on to something new. Tentative start date is August 1st. Characters most wanted: Gwen Williams, Owen Harper, Toshiko Sato, Ianto Jones, Rhys Williams, Andy Davidson, Captain John Hart, The Tenth Doctor, and Martha Jones. Other characters are available. Not more than a week ago, several of the wizarding worlds greatest villains broke out of the captive hold in Azkaban prison. Much to the Ministry's dismay, Voldemort’s forces are nearly complete, and after the carefully planned Department of Mysteries break-in is successful, he will be on his way to becoming the most powerful Wizard in the world. Concept What if Voldemort won? Avada Kedavra! is an Alternate Universe RPG where the Death Eaters are our primary concern. Escapees, those who eluded capture and their families are gathered in a single game as a giant connexion network. The game has not officially opened and many characters are available. Death Eaters with no specific gender are welcome to claim femininity. It will not be an easy feat, for defeating the power of The Chosen One has never been a battle those named as villains have ever won. It has been 24 years since the fall of Voldemort on that fateful June night at Hogwarts, and although it took awhile to rebuild the Wizarding world to what it once was, the world has been stronger than ever. With the help of so many people that now were on the side of good, the Ministry was able to get up and working once again, under the watchful eye of their wonderful new Minister of Magic, Kingsley Shacklebolt. And the little Wizarding school was able to go back to what it was put there for; teaching young Wizards and Witches how to be just that. They took in students from far and wide, different and alike, from Wizarding blood or Muggle blood. And the school grew and rebuilt itself to be the greatest school in History. The Landing is a spot on the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and spot built in the safe woods just on the edge of the Black Lake, far from Hagrid's Hut and the Black woods of the Forbidden Forrest, hidden from the sight of the feared Caretaker and the Headmaster and his Professors. It was built by mischief makers that had attended the school after the War, put there for the sole purpose of being a secret meeting spot for friends, groups, or couples, for any use from parties to plotting to just enjoying the evening sky. It hasn't been discovered yet, but the students are still careful. The only way to get to it is Invisibility cloak--which is rare--or the hidden passageway on the fourth floor back corridor, behind the statue of a dancing House Elf. The hundreds of magical lands and worlds that used to exist in the minds of children are now in a state of decay. As a result, the figures of legend have fled to this newly imagined land. No Such Place: An Original Fantasy RPG [25 Jul 2008|07:22pm] “ . . . All that was left in Pandora's box was hope.” During the 21st century, a global pandemic swept over the world. They dubbed it the “Pandora Virus,” calling it PV for short, because of its devastating nature. The virus tore through the world’s population, killing almost one-third of humanity in its first month alone. Countries everywhere grew panicked, believing it to be a work of biological terrorism. Nation stood against nation, and a worldwide war began. Much of earth was laid to waste within just a handful of months by the combined effects of nuclear war and the Pandora Virus. Survivors immune to the virus found the world uninhabitable, and many of them perished due to radiation poisoning or famine. There were others, though. Others who inhabited this planet along with human beings, but they had been in hiding for many centuries. Praeternaturals. Legendary beings and creatures believed to be nothing more than myth. All of them were also biologically immune to the Pandora Virus. With the foresight of the oracle named Euryale, groups of praeternaturals learned of what was to come and prepared for the preordained onslaught. They built safe havens in hidden areas across the world protected heavily by magic and often shielded by mountains or large bodies of water. Taking in as many humans and praeternaturals alike as they could before the war, these communities provided a stable living environment for the survival of all species. One such safe haven is an ancient land once inhabited by elves that was abandoned by them long ago. It has been renovated into a sanctuary and renamed to Elysium. Located in the modern-day Republic of Macedonia near Lake Ohrid, it was once a part of Greece. Now, it is a part of the process to one day rebuild the world. Game Objective. No Such Place is an action-oriented drama catering to various genres. Though the setting is fantasy, this is merely to incorporate more aspects of game play and further possibilities beyond the realm of the real world. Whether you prefer action, drama, romance, or horror — this game allows you to play all and pick your favorite to explore. We actively incorporate various game-wide plots that involve everyone in one way or another. Your objective is to create your own story. However, beware the setting. [25 Jul 2008|07:37pm] city_of_gotham to apply. TAKEN || HELD//WANTED || APPLICATION Gotham had been at war for years over the presence of the Batman. Speculations of where he had come from, who he was, and how he got to Gotham in the first place plagued civilians and villains alike. Perhaps they were lucky, like Metropolis, to have someone dedicated just to them, to take care of them, and ensure their safety. Maybe, in the after affects of the chemical attack on a neighbouring city called Blüdhaven, a new hero was spawned. The stories were endless, but only Bruce Wayne had the real answers. There had always been unrest in Gotham, even with the Batman, some arguing that he was a vigilante, sick and tired of being bullied by those lurking in the shadows of Gotham, others pegging him a masked menace. Harvey Dent, meanwhile, the youngest man ever in Gotham to run for District Attorney at the tender age of twenty five is the new face of rescue and hope. A man not afraid to show his face and not hide behind a mask, one that thinks that Batman could be the best way to catch the kind of villains Harvey can’t understand. But he’s also interested in having the Batman, to take him into custody and charge him, and show Gotham who he really is. Give them their masked menace, even though he believed in the Bat’s vigilantism. It’s really too bad that the citizens of Gotham seem to have sided with all the villains, all wanting to capture the Batman and know who this caped crusader is once and for all, but some, like Commissoner James Gorden still believe in the Bat. Some, like him, notice that Batman hasn’t been around much lately. Letting Harvey Dent do all the work that he couldn’t possibly do alone. Has Batman been killed, or is he quietly sitting back, waiting for Gotham to fall into disarray until he comes to save them? What if Batman decides, Gotham has had enough saving, and it was time for the city to fight alone with their White Knight, against menacing forces they never thought imaginable? “Batman's Gotham City is Manhattan below Fourteenth Street at eleven minutes past midnight on the coldest night in November.
