Ever at the Ready [22 Mar 2008|11:48am] - Mod Journal - RP Comm - OOC Comm - Graphics - - Plot - Rules - Character List - Played-Bys - Team Info - Apply - - Contacts (F-Lock) - Advertise (F-Lock) - So we all know that Captain Jack Harkness runs Torchwood Three, that Torchwood One was destroyed in the Battle of Canary Wharf, that Torchwood Two is headed by "a very strange man" and that Torchwood Four is currently misplaced. Well that's all fine and dandy, but things are about to start changing. Torchwood One is reopening just outside of London and is now known as Torchwood 1.1 and Torchwood Two's leader has been replaced. Torchwood Three of course isn't any different, with the exception that Jack has been missing for a bit. The big thing is that Torchwood Four is back on the map, headed by the same person it had been before it was 'misplaced'. It seems Torchwood Four, headed by one Major Charlie Sheppard, had a minor malfunction involving Cardiff's rift. In fact, Torchwood Four is located right near Torchwood Three, or at least it was until it and its team got pulled into another universe. Which is where Lucian Devereaux comes in. It seems that he got a hold of a Time Agent's vortex manipulator in the far future and has been using it at his own pleasure. Well, until it backfired and he was sent to the present and made the rift flux, sucking Torchwood Four into it. Luckily, Major Sheppard wasn't there at the time. Now as for Lucian, he'd been jumping through time randomly and unwillingly as he tried to fix the vortex manipulator. During this time he realized that he'd jump from the present in Cardiff to some different point in time and then back. Along the way, he managed to bring back people with him who shouldn't be during that time, and that caused the rift to go haywire, also bringing people to the present that shouldn't be there: those that are dead, those who aren't born yet, and those in other dimensions. And so, Torchwood realized they needed to work extra hard to try and stop this and thus re-established Torchwood Four, somehow convincing Charlie to head it once more. And that is where we begin... Ever at the ready is a Torchwood/Doctor Who RP that allows for any character from either series (old and new) to be incorporated, as well as original characters! It takes place around the start of season two. We've only just started and we're looking for a majority of the canon cast still, including The Doctor (any of them) and most of Torchwood Three. We're also looking for bad guys and aliens to be hunted down, as well as people to fill up the other Torchwood Teams. If you think you're ready, then we're ready to have you join the team! Kristallnacht is an alternate universe MWPP game set in 1985; a world where Gellert Grindelwald is now the Minister of Magic for all of Europe, and Muggleborn wizards live in fear of the Black Caps, Grindelwald's personal army, charged with keeping the Muggles and wizards alike in line. Kristallnacht begins with the latest decree restricting magic allowed by Muggleborn wizards to the simplest forms of magic, while the purebloods are allowed to get away with murder. With the Death Eaters on the run, Voldemort in Azkaban with no hope of getting out, and the Order in hiding, along with the remains of their single ally, a former terrorist organization, is there any hope of restoring Europe to a land of tolerance? What is metahuman about, you might ask? maybe THIS and THIS will help you? Its been months now since President McCannials was elected. Since then, life for mutants has been growing more and more difficult. Left and right, mutants are losing their jobs. Left and right, mutants are being found dead. Left and right, mutants are losing their rights, their families, their homes, their lives. A mutant hospital has been opened, known as "the New York Establishment of Mutantology", a testing facility for Mutantologists (that is, Mutant scientists) for better understanding of abilities, how they got them. Every day mutants are being taken into the hospital for testing, and some of them aren't making it out. A drug has been created, for testing on the mutants. It is believed that the drug will put an end to the abilities these mutants hold. But not all mutants are being stopped. Some are dying from the side effects (however covered up by the Government), some are getting new abilities. The effects of this drug are widely unknown. On November 15, 2020 - a flyer was sent out to every family in America, listing all the laws mutants were expected to follow. If these rules were not followed correctly, the mutant will be punished by hospitalization, or death. What do you think? She built herself a successful life in the State, studying hard, until her college graduation when a hotel fire killed her parents, made her twin brother and her uncle fugitives from the FBI and placed the responsibility for raising her young siblings directly in her hands. Struggling to cope for some time, she eventually got a job at Xavier's as the school's librarian, the position suiting her quiet, orderly nature and the school providing an education to her younger brother and sister, also twins and both X-positive. She remains at the school, caring for Leong and Nga and debating whether or not it is time to take an active role in her own life again. [22 Mar 2008|11:41pm] → premise what's going on → rules important things to know → characters the cast → application how to apply It seems that things aren't quite as settled as everyone thought -- Heartless are popping back up in places and making a right nuisance of themselves all over again. While there are not nearly as many as there once were, their numbers are growing, and the Restoration Crew are finding it a bit too hard to take care of them themselves. They have other things to do, after all, like rebuilding their homes and getting on with their lives, and, as always, there are not enough hours in the day to take care of everything. After receiving a letter from King Mickey requesting their help, Sora, Riku, and Kairi packed their bags and headed to Radiant Garden, curious as to why things seemed to be starting all over again. Surely there was a reason for it, but with no villains in dark cloaks running around and harassing Sora, they found themselves faced with two probabilities: one, that the heartless were still spawning on their own from some unknown source, or two, there was a new megalomaniacal bad guy around, controlling the heartless and biding his time to make attempt number three at destroying the universe via use of heartless. Neither idea was particularly appealing, and it was decided that, once again, it would be up to Sora and his friends to fix things. On top of all of that, it seems that, unbeknownst to out intrepid heroes, the members of Organization XIII are back, though in their original bodies. They have no memories of ever being in the Organization, and, for all intents and purposes, are back to living their normal lives -- until they, too, get mixed up in the business of dealing with the heartless. The game picks up about a month after our intrepid trio arrived back at Radiant Garden. They're no closer to discovering the new source of heartless, but they're slowly clearing up the worlds again and helping the Restoration Committee. It's slow and sometimes frustrating work, but they're determined to clear things up (for the final time) so everyone can get on with their lives. post comment
