quicklog: eddie/steph in Wonder City
Who: Eddie and Steph
Where: Wonder City
When: recently!
What: rerouting power and planning
Warnings: TBA
[Wonder City had always been a place that attracted Eddie. He was a riddle made up of different Eddies, fused into one man with quilted memories. Part of him remembered the subways just above this dead city that he used to ride as a little boy. Part of him remembered exploring these tunnels when Hugo Strange made Arkham City for the very first time. It was a place lost in antiquity, in magic and advanced science. All the things that made his little riddled mind spin. The streets were hidden behind security door after security door that had been reinforced by Eddie himself and the important areas like access to the tower and electricity were locked down with every security trick Eddie knew.
It was impossible to secure all the tunnels below Gotham, but he had Wonder City locked up tight. It was his domain and now he was down here about to kill it. See, Ra's turned off all the power to Gotham, but Wonder City had its own power source and if it were directed to certain districts in Gotham, they could at least keep the lights on in some places. The result would likely shut down Wonder City for good, but Eddie didn't really mind sacrificing his playthings anymore.
Eddie spent all night rerouting power up and soon, lights would start flickering on above. Gotham was, after all, full of survivors.]
Hey, Steph?
[Eddie was covered in grime to the point where he looked like a Chimney Sweep in Mary Poppins. His Arkham City Riddler suit was filthy and his face was smeared with black. He dropped down into their temporary safehouse that looked like an old Victorian house covered in force fields. It almost seemed like it was an exhibit on space ship. Creeky floor boards, paintings of angry looking rich people and half destroyed furniture. All of it safe in the glow of cosmic technology. Eddie and Steph had resorted to camping out with sleeping bags, a small portable stove and a lantern.] I think I'm done for the night. I need at least three hours.
