bruce comes over for margaritas
[Everyone knew Eddie Nigma and his beautiful blonde (ex)bat lived in the entertainment district of Gotham in a four story building inhabited by the most glamorous drag queens the city had to offer. It wasn't exactly the most secure looking building from the outside, but as soon as anyone stepped in the lobby, they could see signs of Riddler's security systems. Video cameras, large iron gates to lock the front door and windows at night and even a guard who looked like he was a killer whale in a past life. Drag queens came in and out of the building, some going to shows, others to parties. All of them bright, friendly and bizarre the way only Gotham citizens were.
Eddie's apartment is up the stairs behind a harmless looking wooden door. Of course the wood is reinforced, everything in the apartment is, but the illusion of this being just a regular old apartment in a strange part of town keeps up. Inside, Eddie is making margaritas with his Margaritaville machine and deciding if he wants to go ahead and fry up some tacos or wait for Bruce to decide if he was hungry. The apartment is so very modern with a giant flat screen tv, pictures all over the walls, a green accent wall (instead of yellow, sssh) and a blinking Riddler trophy hanging from the ceiling. From the kitchen, there was an ancient looking Apple computer sitting on the counter with an 8-bit smiling sun playing chiptunes.
"Machina, turn it down." Eddie mumbles. He's wearing a geeky math shirt and jeans. His tattoos, which span from his neck all the way down to his fingertips are on full display and even though he's always going to be a short man, he's got a few extra muscles than he used to.
"Mac, seriously, turn it down."
Machina, the 8-bit sun happily playing chiptunes from her Mac computer frowns a digital frown and then the screen changes to a volume bar, to which she sets on full blast just to spite him.
"MAAAAAAAAAAAAACCC!" Eddie taps the top of the computer and Machina reluctantly turns it back down with a you're going to pay for that later look. "Thank you."
Just then, he hears a knock at the door. "Steph, give him this marg the second he walks through the door." Eddie holds a pretty professional looking margarita in one of those big-mouthed glasses with salt around the rim and then leans in to kiss her real quick.]
