8:17a	Oh Marvelous: A Marvel Universe Game Oh Marvelous: A Marvel RPG "Did you ever have one of those lives?" You inhabit a fantastical universe where anything can happen. Super powered beings exist, and living a sane life is no easy feat for anyone. In such an extraordinary world, an average day can be ruined by the strangest of threats; be it viral zombies, megalomaniacal criminals or assassination attempts. All just part of a normal day in a very abnormal world. You don’t even glance up at the shrill whine of sirens or the roar of a giant monster a few blocks over. In the sky above a caped character is flying towards the fray; a member of some super hero team or perhaps a lone vigilante. Maybe the monster is a mythical creature or an invading alien or a minion of the latest super villain. A van is hurled down the street followed by another angry howl but you go casually about your business- buy your newspaper, sip your latte- and mutter cynically to yourself, "oh_marvelous." Oh Marvelous is an age 18+, social, thread based, third person, AU Marvel RPG played in real time (quite a mouthful). The game is set in present day. Although the game is New York centered, action takes place in locations all over the world. Plot is primarily player driven with occasional inclusive plots that affect the entire game. This game does not follow any set timeline or particular Marvel continuity. Nobody knows how old this city is, or exactly how it came to be. It’s not a desolate city by any means. Over 1,000,000 people live in Fallenpoint; the economy is excellent; and the residence are happy for the most part. One day the city, as if having a will of it’s own, begins to pull people in. Sometimes the city may invite a person, but most of the time it simply drags the person from their world into this one. When a character arrives, they find themselves in the central square. They find that they’re now carrying a bag of sorts. Inside of this bag is a netbook, the keys to their new home, and a credit card containing the equivalent of $10,000. Pretty soon characters find out that they’ve brought something along with them. Their own realities. The city of Fallenpoint has also pulled in several realities, and placed them within the pockets of it’s own reality. Characters soon discover that they can go back to their own realities, or to any other reality that is available. Those seeking to go home, however, will discover that their home world has changed dramatically. Certain events may not have happened, events may have been altered, people may be dramatically different, but one thing is for sure: Once you leave home, you can never go back. 3:36p	REGIMES MODS • RPG • OOC Premise Available Abilities Apply Screened Post Credit In early 2007 President George W. Bush and a few of his joint chiefs were at a Anti-Mutant Rights Charity Gala in Arlington Texas where he was a guest speaker when tragedy struck. A bomb that was wired to the inner lining of the basement floor detonated at exactly 10:32 am destroying the entire building, reducing it to mere rubble. The nation was devastated, the President for which Cheney had amended the constitution to stay in office because of his fearless leadership against the mutants, was dead. His predesscor Dick Cheney stepped up as President and the new leader of the supposed 'Free World'. After Cheney was sworn in a video surfaced of a known mutant speaker taking the blame for the bombing. Not just taking the blame but bragging to the public and threatening more death if the U.S.A. did not cooperate with mutant rights. At once war was declared on mutant-kind and any countries that supported them. Russia, Iraq, Afghanistan, North Korea, Japan, China, all were standing at edge as the U.S. armed their missile silos. For twenty-four hours the world was at a stand still as nuclear holocaust approached. Fortunately an agreement was made, a treaty signed and the world was able to breath. The only drawback? Mutants were now property of the countries in which they originated and were to be tested, cataloged, forced into camps that were more like prisons and some tortured, starved and treated in unspeakable ways. Why? Well because they were the new terrorists, the new Al-Qaueda. For two years the world treated their mutants like this until finally it was India and Russia who stood up and said no more.
