Ridgeway Resort - Thread Comm

The heat of the summer was being felt all over the resort. The only reprieve many felt was at night time. Tempers were flaring between a few of his little 'bees'. Then there was the temper of his fellow nine... It was time for a bit of a cool off.

Stepping out on the highest balcony of the main lodge. His looked over the grounds. It would not hurt to put a little seasonal spirit into those that worked for him. With the snap of a finger, the temperatures plummeted. Not enough to freeze the pipes. Yet enough for the snow, that started to drift down, to stick. He knew once many awoke the scenery would be a snow covered wonderland.

A white Christmas in July. With another snap of his fingers a few twinkling lights decorated trees and bushes, the lodge it's self, and each of the outer buildings, cabins included. When his workers woke in the morning they would find an evergreen tree decorated and perched within the living areas of each one. Chimneys would appear in the outer corner of the living rooms, stockings hung with care, each individual within the domicile having one with his or her name on it. A fire was not lit, but there were logs stacked within ready for to be lit. Pantries will be found stocked with apple cider ready to be warmed, and packets of hot chocolate and plenty of marshmallows.

Working a bit more magic he insured the lake would be frozen by morning.


(:D This starts the winter in July plot. It's not going to be bitterly cold, it's gonna be the fun kinda snow! This plot will probably last till after July 25th... Because that weekend I will be uber busy with birthdays and family visits... :D and plus on the 25th your little characters are going to find presents beneath the trees! It was just supposed to be snow, and this might change as soon as my comod reads it... But I liked the idea, it made me feel all festive! And it couldn't hurt to have two Christmases in one year, could it? Have fun! Be Merry! Lurve Amy)

Privacy was non existent in the army: close quaters and few walls with your squad, and it seemed that every one of her superior officers had her file in some way or another. Sonya had long since become used to such things, but when she wanted alone time, it made things rather difficult. Atleast at the resort, there were some areas where she could get a certain amount of privacy, but it was sacrificed because many of the guests seemed to know a lot about her, things not even her superior officers knew, about Mortal Kombat, Outworld, and even her idea of how to protect Earthrealm from invasion ( the Outerworld Investigation Agency-it did have a military ring to it). Sonya put up with them, even posing with a few for pictures, but now she had a free morning, and she just wanted to get away from the verbal probing and the pictures.

The beach near the cabins was a nice place to catch some air, and even though it was cold Sonya felt nice enough in a heavy coat and hat. She tried to remind herself that while the guests could be demanding, they were friendly enough and she wasn't chained up like in Outworld, and it was part of her pay so it wasn't all bad.still, it made her miss the army with its anonymity even more. She still hoped that if she saved up enough, she could buy a place out of here.
