The last of the repercussions died off real slow
Who: Noa Bellamy and Marina Kovalenka
Where: Marina and Vic’s place; Dog Park
What: Questions, and real light-hearted things.
When: [backdated] 12/3/18, mid-day
Every minute, every second since Noa found out the officers were in custody has felt like an inhale, like the quiet right before a storm. Not a moment has gone by that she hasn’t thought trouble is just around a corner, her own suspicions bolstered by the suspicious natures of others. Being concerned has brought a lot of respect to the men that she already respected deeply; it’s mentally exhausting making sure that they're not missing anything. She has questions, and not all of them can be answered, but she thinks she might be able to lay a few to rest, if Marina knows as much as Noa hopes she does. Because the one threat that should have reared it’s head and struck the park again hasn’t, and she wants to try and find out why, or at the very least figure out how they should be preparing for when they do. The idea that that cats will leave them be is one that’s very slim and insubstantial in the options laid out. It’s December, but in the middle of the day it’s still comfortable enough to ignore a jacket, so she’s only in a threadbare sweater and jeans when she makes her way to Marina and Vic’s new place. A text was already sent, as promised, and she made sure not to come by too early because she wasn’t all that familiar with Jewish celebrations and didn’t know what last night had been like for those who did celebrate. Reaching upwards once she was at the side door, she wraps her knuckles against the metal, short but firm. |
