After everything Emmanuel put her through, there was no lost love there, but even still it upset her to think about all the lives he continued to ruin. She didn't know why or how everyone got involved in the Cartel before the end of the world, but she was 100% sure that none of them had signed up for dealing prax and turning people who were just trying to survive into mindless slaves, perpetually looking for the next hit. She'd made excuses in the beginning, too blinded by her obsession with Emmanuel, but now that her eyes were opened to the sick, twisted man he was... it just made her sad that she'd been able to escape but so many were still under his shadow.
A grimace fixed on Marina's face, thinking of the ghouls and how they were a creation of the Dog Park. They were desperate and dangerous because of the Dog King. Even months later, this still didn't sit well with her. With Alejo back in her life, it was even more obvious how conflicted the presence of prax in Austin made her. Rodeo had good reason to not let Los Nahuales be the only supplier in the city, but still... drugs were drugs.
Blinking hard to pull herself out of her head, she just gave a slight nod at Noa's words. "Best we can do is keep our eyes and ears open. Make sure the wall is stronger than ever and keep watch as best we can. Don't know if we're in a position to go seek them out with the Officers locked up, though."
