Entry tags:! log, 1998-september, character: nymphadora tonks, character: ted tonks

WHO: Nymphadora Tonks & Ted Tonks
WHAT: Father/Daughter time
WHEN: backdated to Saturday 19 September 1998, 10 AM
WHERE: Ted and Andromeda's house
RATING: TBD, likely low
STATUS: Closed//Ongoing

A moan sounded from the mound of blankets, pillows, and clothes that was Nymphadora Tonks. "Who turned on the sun?" Her voice was loud to her own ears, and she moaned again. She knew she should have had more water the previous night, but who really thinks about water when they're pub hopping with their friends and making blokes drool?

Dora rolled out of bed and stripped as she stumbled to the shower. She only fell once, but she didn't cause herself any damage. After a shower that was colder than she meant to do, she put on the first pyjamas she found in her wardrobe and went to her floo. She didn't know what time it was, but it was Saturday, and she was sure her dad would feed her.

As she stepped out of the fireplace in her parents' house, Dora padded into the kitchen. "Dad," she called, sounding as miserable as she felt. "Feed me pancakes!"

With a career that rather revolved (pun intended) around the sun, Ted was used to being awake early. There was no sense in wasting daylight when you had plants to care for, after all. So, even on a Saturday, Dora had the right idea of it- he was already awake and well into his day by the time she showed up (albeit unannounced) at the Tonks family home.

Looking up from his newspaper, Ted quirked an eyebrow but otherwise gave no indication that the sudden appearance of his daughter was anything out of the ordinary. Folding the paper in half and setting it aside, he reached for the cup of tea sitting at the counter next to him. "Long night?"

Dora made a sound that was between a groan and a mumbled 'yeah'. Undead. She sounded undead. Like shuffling, reanimated inferi or zombies. Her head wasn't pounding, exactly, but she did have cotton mouth, and she wasn't sure if she was hungry or needed to vomit. Though she really wanted pancakes.

"I went out with Ada. It was fun."

Ted gave a slow, somewhat sage nod, accompanied by an easy, "I see." Finally standing, he moved closer to his daughter and pressed a kiss to her forehead- a gentle touch, so as not to further aggravate her (no doubt pounding) headache.

Turning then, he headed toward the kitchen, trusting Dora to follow him. "Chocolate chips on the pancakes? Or is it a fruit topping sort of morning?"
