Photographers are invited on the proviso they don't take pictures, as it's a private party (this is noted on notes sent around to confirm invites).

SUMMARY: Team South Africa want to celebrate an epic World Cup by curing everyone's existing hangover, followed by causing another one.

With the World Cup just around the corner, it’s finally the night everyone’s been waiting for! Nervous waits are coming to an end as IAQ hosts a swanky event open only to players and team staff (and their plus ones) to announce all four UK teams that will be heading Down Under in the new year. A gourmet dinner and entertainment from the Weird Sisters begins proceedings, and the announcements are littered throughout the evening. Team members and support teams are announced, and characters with dual citizenship may have been chosen for either of their countries. Formal dress is required, and a small press corps will cover arrivals and general proceedings. A press release will be issued at the end of the night publically announcing the teams. Josephine Marat, as representative for the International Association of Quidditch, will be called upon to announce the players and staff representing non-UK teams as they have not been able to attend similar events in their home countries. The evening will be hosted by none other than Head of DoMGaS, Ludo Bagman.

Actual announcements will be spaced out to allow time to play and react.

The press are already lined outside a fancy hotel in Soci Alley where the red carpet is out for the arrival of the Quidditch players. As the players and staff make their way inside, the press take photographs and call out for interviews of both players and their dates.

Once inside, guests would have been surprised to see suited waiters standing by with silver platters, upon which are portkeys ready to take the guests to a location so secret that even the press are unaware of it. Once the portkey has been activated, it takes the guest to ( the secret location... )
