Mel and Lindsay's Party: The Flashback
[info]britin1729
2012-04-06 03:03 am UTC (link)
Okay, pushing play!

So, we begin at Melanie and Lindsay's party, where everyone is having a good time. Well, Mel and Lindsay are having a good time. Ted and Emmett look bored and Michael is having an especially bad time, because he is getting punched in the face by Brian. (I know, *gasp* right?)

(I feel horrible for saying this, but it's almost funny because it looks like Brian is just standing there and randomly punches him.)

But he totally deserved it. And it's not funny when it actually happens and we hear what he said.

Michael rewinds us all the way back to the Rage party to find out what the fuck just happened.

Everyone is hanging out, all coupled up, except B/J. Ted and Emmett depart to have sex, and Melanie wonders if they're actually going to do it. I can't help thinking that one relationship has ended while another begins. :(

Michael announces that Brian and Justin just broke up, and then we see him and Ben outside the club going after Brian, who takes off before they can reach him. :( :(

Ethan's Apartment
[info]britin1729
2012-04-06 03:15 am UTC (link)
It's the next morning, and Justin is at Ethan's. Now, I am going to try and be fair to Ethan, at least for these first few episodes of S3 where I don't hate him, lol.

But under no circumstances do I ever want to see him without clothes on. Which makes this next scene difficult to watch, because Ethan is naked (GAG) and playing the violin to wake up Justin. They kiss, and I throw up in my mouth a little. (Justin looks fucking adorable, though)

Justin tells Ethan that he has to pick up his stuff from Brian's, saying that he doesn't care if Brian is there, because he is with Ethan now. Only he doesn't seem all that happy about it, especially when you compare this reaction to, say, his obvious joy when he and Brian get back together in 308. ;)

Also, there is more Ethan and Justin kissing, and more naked Ethan. You know, guys, I'm not sure my stomach can take early season three, LOL.

Yes ... and honestly ... it's never a good idea to leap from one lover's bed straight into the next.

This was the point where Justin needed to strike out on his own - get his own place - or even move in with Daphne - rather than moving straight into Ethan's.

This is the first time I've ever watched this episode, and noticed this red rose at the beginning of the J/E relationship, and the possible significance later on in this story with Justin hitting Ethan with the entire bouquet of red roses.

Love the budding romance that Ted and Emmett have going on. :)

Some interested customers want to know when the next issue of Rage is coming out. Michael tells them it isn't. I don't know if it's partly because he doesn't think Justin will want to draw Rage and JT together now, or if it's because Michael is just being an ass.

Michael/Debbie scene. I really liked her sticking up for Justin and telling Michael to butt the hell out, but sheesh -- is she really so blind to the fact that Brian DOES love Justin? Didn't she tell Brian that she knew he did less than a year ago? Just because he didn't love Michael romantically didn't mean that he was incapable of love. Sometimes Debbie's Michael-centric thought process just drive me crazy.

At the loft
[info]britin1729

Justin is there to pick up his stuff, and Brian is notably absent. Do you think Justin knew Brian wouldn't be there? Or do you think Brian knew that Justin would come and was gone on purpose? Or is it just a coincidence that they missed each other?

Just because Brian isn't there, though, doesn't mean that Justin's memories of him are gone. Everyone he looks, he remembers the two of them having sex during happier times. The chair. The shower. The bed. Justin quickly gathers his things and hurries out of the loft.

You know what? It's not just Brian who's trying to pretend the breakup isn't bothering him in this episode. Justin is doing his fair share of that, too.

The diner
[info]britin1729
2012-04-06 03:28 am UTC (link)
Melanie and Lindsay are happily interrogating Ted and Emmett about their night. In other news, I start to feel queasy again, LOL. Seriously, what is with Mel and Linds here? Why are they so happy at the idea of Ted and Emmett fucking? Cause honestly that same idea is freaking me out.

Melanie and Lindsay are apparently getting ready to celebrate their anniversary. Debbie points out that they just got married, and the girls explain that they get more presents this way celebrate the day they got together.

Debbie: Poor Sunshine. He really loved him.
Lindsay: Brian really loved him.
Debbie: Yeah, well he should have showed it.
Michael: He did. In his way.

Hmm...I think they are all kind of right.

Justin comes in. He and Brian share an awkward look. Actually, it's suddenly awkward all around, in that way it is when you a) run into your ex and b) share the same circle of friends.

FUCK YOU MICHAEL!!!

Arggh. In scenes like this, I can understand the Mikey hate. Seriously.

I don't even understand why Michael is being such a shit here. Whatever Justin says here, I don't think Michael still wants to be with Brian or even wants Justin gone (or at least, he didn't before this episode). Even Lindsay, one of Brian's other oldest friends, doesn't take Brian's "side" and exclude Justin. Wtf makes Michael think he's justified in acting like this?
