Challenge #187 is officially closed -- we made a small executive decision, and we're going to change drabble prompts on Fridays from now on. It's a better day for me, and you know, it's all about ME!
In last week's challenge, "New York" was our theme, and Melanie was our winner with 8 condoms! Go drabblers, go MEL!!!
In honor of the fact that the Pittsburgh Ironmen Steelers are in the Super Bowl this weekend, I declare Challenge #188 to be: Football!
Feel free to write about Super Bowl parties, Drew returning to Emmett, the Ironmen, or Gus learning to throw a ball -- doesn't have to be about pro ball or the Super Bowl.

I opened the hotel door to find him standing there, looking fucking hot in a form-fitting blue shirt, and tight black jeans.
I pulled him inside, slamming him against the closing door, ravaging his lips with mine.
Words were grossly overrated in times like these.
He let me take control, only grabbing my wrist when I fumbled with his belt buckle, flicking it open with one hand while the other was fisted in my hair.
It was Friday afternoon and he would head back to Pittsburgh come Sunday.
Weekends in New York were always too short. |

“Me too. God, I miss the built-in babysitting we had back ho—uhm, in Pittsburg. Hey, that reminds me - Justin sent the kids postcards again. It’s so sweet of him - I wish we had enough saved to take a vacation in New York...”

“Oh, don’t even go there! If we decide to visit, we’ll get there on our own!” |

I’m almost embarrassed by all of this attention I’m getting. Why anyone in New York would want my autograph is pretty unfathomable to me. Must be that people are ‘getting’ the paintings I’ve put on display here. And really, that means a lot…like I’m finally making it on my own.
I’m standing in front of my favorite piece. It’s enormous, dark, and broody because…I’m sure you can guess why. It’s the best work I’ve done so far…what, I’m not ashamed to admit I’m brilliant!
Suddenly, a pair of toned and tanned arms snake around my waist, catching me off-guard.

I quickly realize it’s Brian. He leans in and whispers, “What are you wearing? Isn’t this my old t-shirt that was shrunk in the wash, not to mention it’s bleached out?” After tickling his tongue along the length of my ear, “Don’t you want to impress your gallery patrons, or are you trying to put on an air of starving artist?”
Chuckling at his never ending wardrobe diatribe, I’m just glad he’s here.
“No Brian,” I retort, “I’m wearing this shirt because I was missing you. Don’t you remember? You bought it that weekend I ran away to New York.” |

A/N: So I mostly wrote this in my head the other day after seeing the Drabylon prompt, and now the qaf_drabbles challenge #187 is New York, so this drabble fits with both! Yay for me….but I’m gonna try to write some more because I feel guilty!

In the midst of my strategic planning for opening a Kinnetik branch in New York, it so happens that Justin has had enough of that city.
He says he needs a break, he says it’s not forever, but he needs to come home.
He tells me home is anywhere I am.
Sentimental twat.
So in an uncharacteristically selfless act, I tell Cynthia that she’ll be the new head-honcho of Kinnetik-NY.
She stares at me, gaping mouth and all; because she’s so utterly thrilled as her new beau-de-jour is located in New York.

We share a smoke while Emmett changes the tire. I see Brian's eyes glitter with lust and I know instinctively that it has nothing to do with the kiss he just gave me.
The kid is everything I'm not. He is ballsy, adventurous, and does whatever it takes to get laid. Of course, it's a fucking turn on for Brian.
We are almost to New York and Ted wants to know what we are supposed to do when we find him.
