Brian despised sentimentality, and nothing annoyed him more than people who yammered endlessly about their children and families.
Kinnetik built its reputation by creating edgy, contemporary, sexy campaigns. It was not a place for family portraits, lopsided clay vases or calendars with kittens or puppies.
Brian designed every inch of Kinnetik to reflect his vision, down to the hand-picked Justin Taylor originals gracing the walls.
As for the small photo on his desk, the sleek black frame complimented his décor perfectly, and if anyone had the balls to comment on the picture of Gus it held, Vangaurd was always hiring. |

Emmett took a delicate sip from his Cosmo and smiled expectantly.
“Okay… spill! What’s up with you boys?”
“Justin and I want to discuss a… business proposal…
“But there are rules,” Brian added.
“No talking. This will remain among the three of us.”
“My lips are sealed, honey.”
“No hugging.”
Justin rolled his eyes.
“And absolutely no squealing.”
“Uhm… okay?”
“We’re going to marry in two months and you’ll be our wedding planner.”
“OH… MY…”
Emmett closed his mouth with an audible snap and made a zipping motion across his lips.
But the smile on his face nearly outshone Justin’s. |

The Painting
“Come on, Brian, you promised to try. It’ll be fun. I prepared a canvas and the paints… and I’ll even model for you.”
Brian grinned at Justin.
“You pose naked and we have a deal…”
“Deal! And don’t think, just paint what you feel.”
Just like that Brian had a brush in his hand and a very naked Justin lying on the futon. The creative process took much longer than expected because he had to study his model very thoroughly.
Afterwards they looked at his finished painting together.
Justin smirked.
“Honestly? I love it. It looks like a painted orgasm.” |

A/N: This is my first drabble, (and my fist fic posting anywhere, ever) but I was inspired, and I’m very cold right now as it’s -28̊C with the windchill, and all I really want to do is go to Hawaii or something ;) Sorry, but the ending is predictably lame, but what evs.

“Picture this- you, me, on the sand, by the ocean, wrapped in fuzzy beach towels, a sizzling campfire, stars glittering, sipping on Maragritas...whaddya think?”
“I think you’re completely insane, and completely genius. Why didn’t you imagine that when we were contemplating doing this instead?!”
“You know, we would have come here anyway. Gus has been begging us to take him ice fishing ever since he saw Carl’s pictures at Christmas...but now the only thing keeping me warm is daydreaming about being in Hawaii or something.”
“Come’ere Sunshine,” Brian says smiling slyly, “I’m sure I can warm you up.” |
