“Gus, another hour then bed,” Melanie warned as Michael and Ben took JR upstairs for a story.
“Don’t worry,” Debbie winked at Gus before he could protest. “I make the rules at here, and UNO comes before bedtime. Now deal.”
Lindsay shushed Melanie and rubbed her shoulders. “She’s their grandmother; let her spoil them a little.”
“It hasn’t hurt Justin any,” Brian agreed.
“Hey,” Justin objected. “Debbie doesn’t spoil me.”
“Sunshine, do you want more cheesecake? I made an extra one and left it in the fridge for you.”
“What’s so fucking funny?” Deb asked as everyone burst into laughter. |

Emmett left Ted at the bar and shimmied his way onto the dance floor. As he danced, he spotted that kid who followed Brian around - Justin - with a group of boys Emmett recognized as hustlers and dealers.
Letting the crowd carry him over, Emmett hip bumped Justin.
“Emmett!” Justin cried. His eyes were unnaturally bright, and he was dancing a beat too fast for the music. “Is Brian here?”
“No.”
Justin’s face fell, but he covered his disappointment with a shrug. Emmett caught the predatory looks the other boys exchanged and grabbed Justin’s arm. “Let’s dance until he gets here.” |

Justin finally let out the smile he’d been holding back all day. “Perfect. You should have seen him try not to react when I was introduced as the new intern. He called me into his office and tried to fire me.”
“I knew it!” Daphne crowed. “He so wants you.”
“When I said I hadn’t realized our former relationship was an issue for him, he knew he was fucked,” Justin laughed. “He wanted to kill me, but I’m staying.”
Daphne’s eyes lit up. “Now for phase two.” |

A/N: My first drabble, please be nice if I deserve it

Emmett calls me sweetie and strokes my hair every chance he gets.
Ted doesn't talk to me much but seems really friendly.
Mel and Lindsay treats me like a child and an adult at the same time.
Michael glares at me everytime I look in his direction.
I can't help but smile.
"Wanna share?" Daphne asks me.
"I think I found something I didn't know I was looking for."
Tall, hard body presses against my back, strong hands on my hips steering me towards the dancefloor and into the glittery rain.
Warm lips whispering to me, "Dance with me, Sunshine." |
