“Did you see the picture that Linds emailed me this morning? She’s out of her fucking blonde mind if she believes that I’ll buy my son such a sissy instrument for Christmas.”
“Hey! No blond jokes in this house!” Justin said, with a laugh. Then, a sly smile on his face, added, “Didn’t Lindsay tell you that Gus needs it for school?”
“Whatever… Linds can kiss my ass,” Brian grumbled, “and buy the fucking thing herself.”
Suddenly a devilish smirk appeared on his face. “I’ll get the boy a nice set of drums. That should teach the munchers a lesson!”

Justin was slumped on the couch, aimlessly channel surfing, when there was a knock on the door.
“Hey!” Justin smiled as he opened the door to reveal a smirking Brian.
“Hey.” Brian brushed by, leaving Justin to trail behind as he headed for the stairs and Justin’s room.
Faithfully following in his footsteps, Justin tried not to speculate on the significance of Brian seeking him out tonight instead of dragging Michael to Babylon to obliterate the Holiday bullshit he hated.
Accident or not, Brian had chosen him over anonymous ass tonight, and Justin was eager to offer some positive reinforcement. |

Melanie scrambled out the door to head Deb off as she arrived laden with festively wrapped packages. “Debbie,” she implored, “I thought we agreed on this.”
“What!” she huffed indignantly. “It’s a few trinkets for the kids!”
“It looks like you bought out the BigQ. We agreed to one small gift per child for each night of Hanukkah. There’s enough here to satisfy the local temple.”
“But she’s my grandbaby,” Deb whined.
“And Christmas is only three short weeks away; you can spoil them rotten then,” Mel reasoned gently as she guided Deb and her packages back towards Carl’s car. |
