Title: Smoke and Mirrors
Author's Note: ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) maxymama's recent request for some early S3 Brian sadness icons had me obsessing thinking about Brian's most heartbreaking pain management technique while Justin was off with Ian.
And the Condom Goes To: Emmett
I open the door and step back, allowing him to invade my space.
It’s been a while, but I point him in the direction of the bedroom as I absently rub my no longer bruised knuckles.
He shoots me a questioning look and I palm him the money as he passes by.
I follow behind slowly as he strips naked and smiles at me over his shoulder. “No names, right?”
He pillows his head on his arms and lays quietly on his stomach, ass raised and ready.
I sit close beside him, but tonight the smoke and mirrors aren’t working. |

“Ow, it really fucking hurts. Don’t touch it!” Brian flinched away and put up both hands to ward Justin and the wet washcloth away.
“But you need to clean it or it might get infected.” Justin stubbornly inched forward, washcloth again approaching Brian’s bleeding face.
Brian simply glared harder. “It’s just a shaving scratch, it’s not like I fell face-first on a rusted nail and need a fucking tetanus shot. Stop acting like some Nurse Nelly! ”
“Well, even a scratch can get infected, especially where you stick your face sometimes.” Justin grumbled, then laughed as his reluctant patient pounced. |

I slammed the door shut and Justin didn’t even flinch; he stood up, walked over to me and slid his arm around my waist.
“Rough day?” He asked, slowly beginning to undress me.
“Yeah. I might just have to hurt some fuckers.”
“Mmhm.” He unbuttoned my pants and slid them off.
“A client called wanting everything changed by tomorrow at 6, some asshole cut me off in traffic, and the worst part-I fell on the fucking ice and ruined a perfectly good Armani suit.”
“Let me make it better.” He pulled my cock into his mouth. I felt better already. |

| Announcement: Ensemble Challenge |

On behalf of xie_xie_xie and happier_bunny, I have the honor of announcing their new challenge over at ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) qaf_scavenger...Ensemble Challenge: They want some gang-fic, some gang-graphics, and some gang-vids, so they're hosting a challenge. Can you blame them? We want it, too, don't we?
RULES:
1. You must have at LEAST four Queer As Folk characters in your submission.
2. Fics must be a minimum of 500 words (sorry folks, no drabbles this time).
3. No non-canonical pairings.
4. Sign ups are open until January 31, 2010
5. Submissions are due February 28, 2010 at midnight PST (email them to happierbunny @ gmail .com). Please include "ensemble submission" in the subject line.
6. All posts will go up March 1, 2010
7. All submissions MUST be html coded.
8. All graphics MUST be hosted somewhere (i.e. photobucket, etc). Please do not send them as attachments this time. Thanks!
