And the Condom Goes To: Brian
In the end, I didn’t go with Brian to say good-bye to Gus.
There were still some things that I knew Brian needed to do with the least amount of witnesses.
Watching Gus’s moms flee the country with his son was one; watching me pack up the bulk of the life I’d so recently moved back into the loft was another.
By the time he returned, the boxes were on their way to my new home, and all traces of yet another attempt to meld our lives together had been erased.
But next time, there would be no more excuses. |
