Everyone turned to stare, the delicious meal in front of them forgotten, as the ringer of someone's cell phone disrupted the chatter.
Emmett blushed and cleared his throat, hitting a button on his cell to shut up the musical ring tone. He knew something like this would happen. Naturally some idiot had to call during the weekly family dinner. He didn't even want to look at Brian.
“Was that...?” Melanie began.
“Hannah Montana?” Lindsay finished, fighting a grin. “Gus loves her.”
Straightening up in his chair, Emmett shrugged off their incredulous expressions, trying to appear dignified. “Hey, I got nerve.”
