Gus skipped happily from the room. Lindsay shook her head, despite her resolve, he’d gotten his own way, again. First he’d smile at her, looking so much like Brian it made her heart ache. But once he opened his mouth, he was all Mel, passionately arguing his case.
Lindsay saw in him the best of Brian and Melanie. Her best friend and the love of her life reflecting back at her in everything Gus said and did. How could she ever say no to that combination? What the hell had she been thinking, having a child with both of them. |

The day after the election, Brian walked with Justin from the diner to Michael’s store. Justin had some work to do on Rage, and Brian had nothing better to do than tag along. The weather was shitty, cold and windy yet again. It was still Pittsburgh in the winter, but something felt different. Everyone they passed was smiling and laughing. A few people even patted Brian on the back as they walked by them.
Brian took a deep breath and relaxed. He reached for Justin’s hand, pushing aside thoughts of unemployment and pending financial disaster. It was a beautiful morning. |

CONDOM: JUSTIN
Justin’s warm breath whispered across my face as we danced together, the music pulsing through my body. I’d only been away for a couple of days but I’d missed him, missed this, his body brushing against mine.
I lost the beat when he gazed up at me, through his long lashes, his eyes dark and smiling, holding a promise for later.
I wanted to crawl inside him as I buried my nose in his neck, breathing in his smell. “Let’s get out of here.”
He flashed another smile, nodded and took my hand, and lead me off the dance floor. |

OMG, Challenge 105 was awesome (kudos to bookgirl24 for the prompt). I'd kiss all the authors but trust me, you want to stay far away from me right now. lol

Hunter dropped his backpack and duffle onto his bedroom floor. Home. He was home.
But something was different.
“Ben…what happened to my bed?”
“We bought you a new mattress.”
“The old one was fine.”
“Justin has your old one. He stayed with us for a few weeks, after he and Brian broke up. We sort of loaned it to him after.”
“It's sort of like you're running a place for homeless waifs, huh?
“I guess you could look at it that way. I prefer to think of it as a way-station, where one goes for comfort.”
“Like me.”
