Panic

Brian had just come down someone’s throat in the alley when he heard the unmistakable sound of cars colliding. Zipping himself up he glanced towards the street. Moving quickly when he saw a flash of blond hair on the driver being pulled from the wreckage. His eyes never left the slight form, covered in blood, on a stretcher, his body restrained. He tried to get a better look. He was shouldering his way closer to the ambulance when Justin stopped him. “You know that guy?”

Brian hugged him fingers running through his hair, assuring himself that this was Justin. “No.”

Title: When I Saw Him Standing There
Author: Philflam
Condom(s): Brian
Timeline: First season before Brian admits anything, even to himself.

“That’s the one!” said Justin as he and Brian walked down Liberty Avenue.

“What are you talking about?”

“That’s the lamppost I was standing under when you fell in love with me.”

“One, I am not in love with you. And two, all these lampposts look alike.”

“Yeah, but this is the one. Exactly 20 feet from the entrance to Babylon, it’s the 10th lamppost from the diner, exactly where I was standing when you first set eyes on me.”

“Whatever. I’ve no clue.”

As they walked away, Brian knew Justin was wrong – it’s the 9th lamppost from the diner.
