Hi all!
Over at
qaf_marathons this past Sunday, we took it back to the beginning as the wonderful fun_demented hosted a 101 marathon.Here's a fun little discussion she and I began over there and were interested in getting others' thoughts on :)
In the midst of all the flailing and the hotness and what we can fondly look back on as the beginning of 'teh love,'
fun_demented noted how sweet Justin was during their first sex scene (I'm talking about the "Put your legs on my shoulders" scene), and then I also noted how particularly gentle Brian was with Justin. Then my question lies in just exactly WHY Brian is so particularly gentle with Justin during his first time. Earlier in the night, prior to the hospital, he seems to take joy in just playing with Justin, sure. But as Brian points out after they find DumpsterBoy/JasonKemp, he really could have pretty much done whatever he'd wanted to sweet, fresh-faced, innocent 101 Justin...at the very least he could have fucked him fast and hard and been done with it, dumping his bubblebutt out on the sidewalk and out of his life for good right then. So the fact that he sort of goes slow and gives him a full-on sex 'lesson' of sorts - "It's cold"/"It'll heat up" and "Does it always hurt?"/"A little bit; but that's a part of it" (Ok minus the ego-centric "No matter who you're with, I want you to always feel me" moment), I just find very interesting.
Let's remember - he walked away from a blow job earlier this same evening because he 'got bored' with it. So while most of the time it's clear he jumps into sexual encounters to get off (I mean, who doesn't? lol), but he's willing to play with this completely inexperienced virgin, because...why?
squiffyneko also pointed out the Justin is allowed to go to the hospital with him, and that interruption/conversation of getting ready and other in-between moments affected it all, too. Of course we can also ask why Brian even bothers to take Justin to the hospital with him at all. So the final discussion question begins as this: Do you think it was the first-time thing, or was there just some connection from the beginning that made Brian take his time/be this gentle/give him this much attention? Are you a purist and maybe just want to believe they were meant to be and that's how it played out? Was it a freak accident and he caught Brian in a good mood? Was it the hospital? Could Brian sense how amazing Justin would be once he got into it?
And why did Brian bother to bring Justin along with him to the hospital? Did he really just pity him because he couldn't go home? Was he planning on continuing what was interrupted?
Okay that's sort of more than one question, but please feel free to put your thoughts in, both
fun_demented and I are really interested in hearing everyone's opinions on this matter!Happy discussing! :)
ETA: Okay, maybe a stupid question, but I was never sure about Brian's "one-fuck-only" policy until Justin and he decided on The Rules. I know it's mentioned sometimes in fic (and I tend to mix up fic and canon sometimes ;) ), but WHEN do we hear about Brian making that decision, pre-Justin, so that everyone then was awed he broke it with Justin?
