Graphic Number 7: "Carry on Dancing"
Title: Carry on Dancing
Author: tweedygal
Timeline: You’ll figure it out. ;-)
Rating: PG-13. I honestly don’t know.
Author's notes: This is just a vignette, not really a fic, but I’ve wanted to write it for a long time. It’s been written in my head for a while (complete with the cheesy James Taylor song), and this beautiful graphic gave me the chance to get it out. *hugs the unknown creator* And a big huge thanks and big sloppy smackles to bookgirl24 and to pendulumchanges for their betas. I love you two.

Music, something vaguely familiar, was playing in the darkened loft when Brain got home. Justin sat in the glow of the light table, absently rubbing his hand. He smiled up at Brian and said, "Hey."
"Hey." Brian dropped beside Justin on the floor. He grabbed his hand, massaging it between his own, and looked at the drawings scattered over the table.
"What are you working on?"
"Nothing really. Just doodling."
"How long have you been sitting here?"
"I dunno."
"Did you eat yet?"
"No."
Sighing slightly, Brian touched the side of Justin's face and kissed him softly on the lips. He pulled away a little, his lips still on Justin’s, and they settled into a slow-burning kiss. They both relaxed, Brian's growing discontent with Stockwell forgotten and Justin's aching hand fading as they did. For now, it was just the two of them.
Brian broke away after a few minutes, cocking his head slightly. "Are you listening to James Taylor?" he questioned.
"Yeah. We listened to him when I was a kid. I still like it -- it's nice." Justin said, somewhat defensively.
"Mmmhmm," Brian murmured, kissing and nuzzling Justin's neck. Justin smiled, winding his fingers into Brian's hair as he kissed him. Brian stopped and said, "Hold on."
He walked over to the CD player and skipped a few tracks. "Handyman" began to play. Brian held out a hand to Justin and whispered, "Come over here."
Justin stood, walked over to Brian and settled into him, wrapping his arms around his waist. Brian, arms on Justin's shoulders, closed his eyes as he touched his forehead to Justin's. They danced slowly, almost not at all. As the music flowed smoothly around them, Brian hummed along. Justin tightened his grip and rested his head on Brian's chest.
