the beach || la playa
[As repeatedly pointed out, we're still in the warmer time of the year, and these past days it's been impossible not to notice, with hotter and more humid days making life far less tolerable overall.

A perfect time to remind everyone there's large beaches available to them! People will get pamphlets in their mail, or find them at the hotels they might be staying at, all promoting the same place - the beaches next to Indigo Port.

The colorful papers indicate there'll be a special, one-of-a-kind treat if you choose to go there this weekend, so it might be enough to interest even those who are more reluctant, or who prefer hanging by the lake instead. Once arriving, they'll see this grand offer refers to banana boats set out for people to use!

Hey, they're still pretty fun. And even if you don't engage in banana fun, there's the sea to cool you down, the sand to rest, beach balls to play games with, and plenty of refreshing fruity drinks available at shops, all ready to make sure you still have a good time.]

Strange. It's somewhat cumbersome by size but otherwise, it's light. [A win for her jello arms.]

[Watching him wobble, even in his inevitable ease at handling the whole thing turns her expression dubious for a moment before she sighs and takes hold of his hand.]

It's unsteady-- Hey. [Asldfkf hup! She wholly trusts him to help her up honestly, but the way up itself still feels silly enough she's very =A=;; to make it to her seat behind him and try to steady herself. W- whoa.]

[The roaring engine ahead of them, and the waves splashing water on either side of the banana as the zoom a round at least saves him the dignity of her not quite hearing that noise, but the touch is enough that she takes it as an allowance to hold on. She keeps her arms wrapped around and squints in her attempts to look on.

And well. It is very scenic all things considered. Maybe she wouldn't have noticed the way the shoreline stretches on if not for this ride, tumultuous as it is. Jeez.]

[He does eventually manage to pay attention to his surroundings and not just the small hands he's holding, and once he does that, any squeaking turns to a more delighted laugh, at the speed, the water splashing around, the scenery that they can now appreciate more. If anything, he's sorry the other two aren't there to join in the banana shenanigans and have fun with them too.]

[When the initial rush settles for her too, she still keeps holding on (longer than she needs to? nah. this is normal,) though her own calmer reaction is a little poutier at that point.
