Portland. Wow. That's... random. Sort of disappointing too. After all that talk about wormholes and crap, I was sort of expecting to end up on the Millennium Falcon or something.

Anyway, hi. David Lassiter. Where is the nearest Starbucks?

You need a bigger wormhole for that.

Hold onto something, lady. I'm about to go full nerd on you.

Size matters not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is.

Now you sound just like my son. But I haven't seen Yoda or anyone else make a wormhole with the Force.

Oh come on, don't diss my awesome Star Wars reference like that.

How old is your son?

I like Star Wars and have seen it as much as the next mom, but you need to work on using the references properly. You'd have been more in line to make a comment about fixing the hyperdrive.

He was eight.

Purist!

Oh. I'm so sorry.

Not a fan of Jar Jar Binks then?

Thanks. He'd be twelve now.

I have no idea who you're talking about. In the sense that, I don't even acknowledge his existence.

I lost my brother too. He wasn't eight, but no one should have to die like that.

Episodes I - III made me amazed Luke and Leia were born.

Everyone dies, but they should have a good, full life before then. I'm sorry about your brother.

I like Anakin's rage mode. I expected him to blow up at any time, but I was disappointed.

True that. Thank you.

It felt too sudden to me, like his whole nature just shifted overnight. And I wanted more from Count Dooku. He was Christopher Lee.

You're welcome. How are you doing, with all this new stuff?

Dooku was a badass.

Surprisingly okay. Then again I'm no stranger to the weird stuff. How about you?

He really was a master of the Force.

I've had a few years to get used to the weird stuff and even one incident of someone time traveling. It's easier than I'd think to get used to weird and weirder.

My favorite is Grievous though. Too bad he sucked in the movie and Obi Wan took him down like nothing. He was awesome in the animated series.

I've lived it all my life.

I only saw the start of the Clone Wars. He and Kenobi were great together, what I saw of it. And I liked the clones better too.

It's still as weird I think, even then. Maybe stranger.

They totally downplayed him in the movie. Why Lucas why!

The wormhole stuff is strange, but I'm really not surprised.

It was a lot they were trying to pack into a couple hours. Movies can't fit everything in.

I keep thinking some part of it should weird me out more. But I've already seen time travel and known about thinks teleporting themselves. A whole other world is... odd, but that seems to fit if you get enough time travel involved.

Yeah but he made Grievous seem like just another dark character instead of the great general he actually was. Like Darth Maul. The only reason he was there was to get sliced in half at the end.

I don't know anything about time travel but I guess that makes sense.

That's how they treated all dark characters, except Palpatine and Anakin. And they weren't even done that well. I got no idea why Palpatine was a Sith, coming from such a good and peaceful planet. And how did he even have the time and such to do it?

There was a Roman god involved. I don't know if it's a common thing.

Palpatine was a master at deception. That's really the only thing that came through from the movies. Otherwise, it was just Anakin whining about his mommy.

That's certainly unique.

The Clone Wars never made him make more sense. Anakin was alright there, still impulsive enough to get himself killed five times over. Anakin should've listened to what she wanted for him, rather than just getting angry.

I've met Roman gods twice. I didn't really like either one.

He's a coward, that's all.

You should meet my sister. She's the closest to a Roman goddess that I can imagine.

Anakin? It's easier to get angry and kill, than to stop and mourn and go through it slow.

I hope I'd like her better. Me and people killing other people for power don't get along well.

Exactly.

Yeah you probably shouldn't meet her then. She takes overprotective to soaring heights.

Admittedly, it did feel damn good to shoot up a lot of zombies when my husband died, as much as it hurt since I knew them when they were alive.

I'm not here to kill you, David. So I don't see what she has to worry about with you talking Star Wars with a middle aged woman.
