WHEN: Tuesday afternoon before dinner
WHERE: Quarantine central - aka the hospital wing
RATING: PG13?
STATUS: Incomplete; WIP
Megan had finally decided to go see Kevin and Ioan after conversations with Anthony and the new bloke. It wasn't something she liked doing - going down to the hospital wing. She tried her best to stay away from the place since fifth year. The scar from Umbridge's words were still lightly visible on the back of her left hand.
Once Herbology was over, she dropped her things off in the dorm and shed her outer robes and headed for the hospital wing. She hated thinking about Kevin without magic and she feared what the rest of them would do if it happened to them. Megan didn't even want to think about what would happen to her if she lost hers. She'd definitely be relying on her Muggleborn friends for help in doing even the simplest of tasks.
Rumours were still running rampant over what had caused the virus. Megan had even formed her own - saying some idiot had developed it with a potion and had spread it around unknowingly. Of course, Hannah's thoughts that it was from roots of certain vegetables was also a likely theory.
Megan paused outside the doors, taking a deep breath and trying to school her features into a happy smile - it only lasted for about ten seconds before the worried frown came back. Well, so much for hiding my real feelings, she thought as she pushed the door open and slipped inside.
She quickly found Ioan, lying on a bed close to the door. Her eyes darted around, finding the quarantine area at the back of the wing. She saw three in there - Michael, Kevin and Dean. She hadn't even known Dean was sick, but she hadn't really pushed on finding out. So far it seemed like only the boys had been affected. There might be something there - but she didn't have time to think about it.
She walked toward Ioan's bed, slipping into the chair beside it and putting on her best smile as she reached for his hand. He looked like he'd been through hell, but what hell she didn't know.
"Hey you," she said softly. She wanted to pull him into her arms and keep him safe from whatever had clearly done this to him.
