I've been away for the past week and florahart was kind enough to post in my absence. However, I apparently didn't manage to give her access to the IJ comm. Therefore, I'll be posting a catch-up post today with links to everything that was posted at LJ this week.

The Percy Ficathon is finally about to start posting! The first piece will go up here in a few minutes, but first, I want to give love to all our amazing authors and artists this year; you are what make the fest worth running.

One reminder: your gift will not be posted until you have turned in your own submission, so, those of you who are still working, the sooner you get it in, the sooner your gift might be posted!

A word about comments: they are better than air to most authors and artists. We don't get paid for this; we do it because we love the characters and the fandom. So please leave a comment if you find something you like--even a "Great fic!" can make an author's day.

We have four submissions in so far! This is shaping up to be an awesome fest, thanks to the wonderful participants! As a reminder, you have until Sunday, May 31st--that's two weeks from today--to submit your fic or art.

This is just to remind you that your Percy Ficathon fic/art submissions are due in 25 days!

Hey, Percyfans! Are you excited for the signups to start on Sunday? I know I am! Now that that's out of the way, I just want to say thanks to everyone who expressed interest in a 2009 wave of the Percy Ficathon, especially alisanne, who was the one who brought the idea up in the first place. I hadn't planned on it, honestly, but now I'm very much looking forward to it, and I hope all of you are, too! ♥

Okay, wow! There seems to be a good amount of interest in a 2009 run of the Percy Ficathon. I've figured out a schedule which I hope will work for everyone--it's slightly more compact than last year's, but still feasible, I think.

Sign ups: Sunday-Saturday, March 22-28
Assignments sent: Sunday, March 29
Assignments due: Sunday, May 31
Fics posted: beginning Monday, June 8

Under the cut are the reveals from this year's Percy Ficathon. Thank you all so very, very much for participating, watching, commenting, drawing, writing, and cheerleading! It was really a fantastic fest this year, with more than a few absolute gems produced.

I'm going to post the reveals in the morning, so if there are any pieces you missed in this year's Percy Ficathon, you've got about twelve hours to check them out (and, of course, to leave feedback for the mystery authors and artists) while they are still anon!

I can't even express how much in love with all you Percy fans I am right now. From the fantastically amazing fic and art, to the myriad comments, to the emails and cheerleading and brainstorming sessions I was privileged to be a part of, to the outpouring of Percy love (and isn't that what this is all about?), this was a seriously impressive fest all around. Thank you all so much!

Hey there Percy fans!

We have been posting for a whole week already, and so far I've been really pleased with all the attention our little fest is getting. I want to ask you a favor--if you have recced (or do rec in the future) any of the fic or art from this fest, let me know as a comment to this post, please, so that I can send recs to the Daily Snitch. There's still lots of amazing fic and art to come, so keep watching the comm!

The 2008 Percy Ficathon is going to begin here in just a few minutes, but first I have a couple of small announcements.

As happened last year, all fic and art will be posted on InsaneJournal with a pointer post from LiveJournal. You don't have to have an IJ account to comment, but I do strongly encourage all writers and artists to get themselves an IJ account for the purpose of replying to comments left there.

Feedback is love, and whether you prefer to leave feedback on LJ or IJ, do it! There was a lot of hard work put into this fest by both authors and artists, and when you see the high quality of work, I know you'll agree. Also, I probably shouldn't have to say this, but please remember to leave feedback for the person who wrote or drew for you!

One piece of fic or art will be posted each day until mid-July. I know it can be frustrating to wait for your gift or submission to be posted, but be patient and it will happen!

And now the fest begins! We have genfic, porn, plotty porn, porny plot, kink, vanilla smut, chan, incest, school-age, post-epilogue, and everything in between!
