Pre-signup Post/Rules Post
Hey, Percyfans! Are you excited for the signups to start on Sunday? I know I am! So excited, in fact, that I'm putting up the signup template now so you can all start thinking about what you'd like to request and offer. This is NOT the sign-up post, however. That will be posted probably around midnight my time on Sunday.

Have you participated in previous rounds of the Percy Ficathon?
If so, who did you write/draw for?
Someone on my flist who knows my preferences and who can keep a secret:
And what would a ficathon centered around everyone's favorite Head Boy be without a few rules? Here they are. If anything's not clear, please do ask.
Fic Requirements: 1,000 words, betaed for grammar, spelling and formatting. If a submitted fic is not up to basic quality standards, the mod reserves the right to return it to the writer and ask that it be improved. If no new copy is turned in, or if the quality is not within the standards of the fest, the mod reserves the right to use a pinch hitter. Your fic doesn't have to be Pulitzer Prize-worthy, but it should be readable.
Art Requirements: Naturally, there's no word requirement for art, but any art you submit should be your best effort, something roughly equal to a 1000+ word fic. If a submitted piece of art is not up to basic quality standards, the mod reserves the right to return it to the artist and ask that it be improved. If no new copy is turned in, or if the quality is not within the standards of the fest, the mod reserves the right to use a pinch hitter. Your art doesn't have to be Louvre-worthy, but it should be your very best effort. Also, photomanips, while enjoyable to some, do not qualify as art for the purposes of this fest.
Qualifications for Participation: You must be eighteen to participate in the Percy Ficathon. While not all fic and art submitted will be of an adult nature, much of it will, and no under-eighteens may participate. Don't try to fool the mod. People have been found out and summarily dismissed in past rounds for lying about their age.
Posting Schedule: It is the policy of the Percy Ficathon that no fic or art will be posted for a participant until they have submitted their own fic or art. This keeps it fair!
I Probably Shouldn't Have to Say This, But: When you sign up, please remember that the focus of this fest is on Percy Weasley. That means that if your piece is gen, he should be the main character, and if it is pairing-centric, then Percy must be featured in the main pairing.
Now that that's out of the way, I just want to say thanks to everyone who expressed interest in a 2009 wave of the Percy Ficathon, especially alisanne, who was the one who brought the idea up in the first place. I hadn't planned on it, honestly, but now I'm very much looking forward to it, and I hope all of you are, too! ♥
