What happens to the old gods, once their temples have crumbled and their believers have abandoned them? Do they die, forsaken, alone? Or do they remain, still wandering the world, immortal, surviving off what little belief they can gather?
Forgotten Gods follows the lives of these old deities, brought to America long ago by explorers or immigrants from their homelands and eventually abandoned or lost from memory. As their worshippers moved on to new religions, the gods' powers waned - for a god, at its most pure essence, is no more than an idea, and an idea is worthless if there is nobody to believe in it. Some have passed, forgotten, from the world, while others have fallen into madness. Some have simply tried to adapt, to make a life for themselves in this place without gods, getting by on what little scraps of worship and belief they can garner. Others are more radical, attempting to regain the power that was once theirs, to revive their followings.
And then there are the New Gods. Gods of cars and computers, television and radio, cities and highways, all those things that modern Americans put their faith in. · FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL is needed by his three ex-wives (liaking, tambrey, and dlaney). He's 36 and most likely a rich Anglophile jerk. He has three kids. I don't know about dlaney but Señor [Christian] Bale would be appreciated by the two British ex-wives, but we're not picky. At all. Just be a jerk and everything will be a-okay.
· NOTTING HILL is needed by...the 4W/F ex-wives again! Seriously, these women...they can't stop dating and marrying each other's exes. It's really complicated. He is dlaney's ex-flame, liaking's current crush, and tambrey's soulmate. Obviously he'll be adored by all three women. PB is open; I personally don't have a preference. He is 33 years old. Christian Bale could work for him as well!
· THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN is needed desperately by liaking, AKA his current crush/future soulmate. You know how little kids can get really wiggly when they're excited? I spotted Paul Rudd and I wiggled because I think he would be positively perfect in this role. I'd like him to be an actual virgin, somewhat (or totally) nerdy and geeky, and perhaps slightly intimidated by my girl's kids. Seriously, I will do anything. You want them to meet at a comic shop? I'm so there. I'll ask my brother why girls go into comic shops. Lia's a dorky girl and a new and excitable mom, so she'd probably think she's ahead of the game by buying some Spiderman action figure for her (1.5 year old) son. I don't know. It doesn't matter. He is 39 (almost 40!) and, right, yes, I'd really like a geeky virgin possibly faced by Paul Rudd. Seriously, the more lines he can quote from all three Lord of the Rings movies (not from reading the script, but from watching them over and over) the better. Lia will adore him if he could teach her how to parallel park rather than discuss Kantian theories on ethics.

So I've had this storyline stuck in my head for a few days and I'm dying to play with it, so I'm looking for a community where I can take a character with a sort've unusual storyline but one where I can be active through scenes rather than journals (though I don't mind writing the occasional one, but this character isn't one who would do a lot of journal writing). I'd prefer someplace smaller but active and Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart need to be open as pbs. Does any place like this exist?
I'm also looking for someone to join with me as the Kristen Stewart for a fairly involved dramatic line. If we can't find a place to house them I'd be fine with working out a PSL.

meetcute - Menfolk needed. We pulled one of the three guys I asked for, so let's see if we can snap up the other two?
· FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL is needed by his three ex-wives (liaking, tambrey, and dlaney). He's 36 and most likely a rich Anglophile jerk. He has three kids. we're not picky about PBs. At all. Just be a jerk and everything will be a-okay.
· THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN is needed desperately by liaking, AKA his current crush/future soulmate. You know how little kids can get really wiggly when they're excited? I spotted Paul Rudd and I wiggled because I think he would be positively perfect in this role. I'd like him to be an actual virgin, somewhat (or totally) nerdy and geeky, and perhaps slightly intimidated by my girl's kids. Seriously, I will do anything. You want them to meet at a comic shop? I'm so there. I'll ask my brother why girls go into comic shops. Lia's a dorky girl and a new and excitable mom, so she'd probably think she's ahead of the game by buying some Spiderman action figure for her (1.5 year old) son. I don't know. It doesn't matter. He is 39 (almost 40!) and, right, yes, I'd really like a geeky virgin possibly faced by Paul Rudd. Seriously, the more lines he can quote from all three Lord of the Rings movies (not from reading the script, but from watching them over and over) the better. Lia will adore him if he could teach her how to parallel park rather than discuss Kantian theories on ethics.

Okay soo I have this idea and I'd love to find someone interested in taking the idea, and turning into an awesome storyline. It can be a private SL, but I'd prefer to eventually take the characters somewere. The idea is this.
The two meet up with their best friends who have just become engaged, meeting for the first time. The four some go out for dinner and drinks to celebrate. Everyones having a good time, atleast a little bit buzzed, and they start to discuss and debate marriage. The lucky newly enegaged couple agreeing that you should wait atleast two years before getting engaged, and should live with someone for atleast one full year. On top of that, they believe that a couple should stay engaged for a year before tying the knot. Otherwise, according to them the odds of the marriage working were slim to none. The other two highly disagreed, saying that the length of time you know a person has nothing to do with marriage!
After several hours, and several drinks..the couple leaves their two friends by themselves. After getting a little bit more acquainted the conversation goes back to marriage. The next morning, they find themselves in a tangle of white sheets wearing nothing but wedding rings.
And we can discuss the story from there but i do have several ideas. AIM: TyMeDownPleaz
