sam was superboy in the original universe. in this universe, he's sam shields and he's a celebrity. when he was in high school he was part of a reality tv show and it launched his career as a model and then transitioned into acting. he's currently the star of a teen show on the CW called STEEL in which he plays a teenager trying to balance his life as a super powered hero and high school.

	darcie is going to be a little bit older, since i feel like kat can't pass for early 20s so much anymore so i'm keeping her close to 28, but maybe they grew up together somehow -- like their parents were friends, or she used to babysit him or something random like that? she would find him ridiculous but delightful.
