Locked to 107

I kind of miss the crazy-ass beard I had going on. Though I'm glad that ended before I showed up to work wearing only a sheet.

Can we please, like, sink to the bottom of the ocean? Right now? There's a night dive next Saturday, with our name on it. The start is Marina Del Ray and the destination is Santa Monica Pier - provided that the weather cooperates, of course. Are you in?

Oh, and sorry if you got caught in the freak rainstorm on the way home on Tuesday. I think that was me. It's really sad how easily I can just talk about this now like it's normal My life, what has happened to it

Locked to P3A

I think I almost started a tornado. Do you know how fucked up that would have been, to start a tornado right now?

Locked to D3

So.

Girls don’t look good in togas. Or maybe it’s just me. I look like I just got out of bed and wrapped myself in a blanket. It should be sexy but I can't pull it off so we’ll leave the toga to you. I’ll man the camera! And your beard wearing just needs practice! Throw it over your shoulder. Like a hair flip, only from your chin. I think it’s as easy at it sounds. Maybe we should get you something to practice with.

I’m trying! I try to instill good passenger values in my umbrella but it’s a feisty one. Always getting out of the seat and flipping off other cars. Maybe you need to show it how it’s done.

Somehow I doubt that, but I'd really rather judge for myself - and I'm pretty sure you have no problem looking sexy in a sheet. A beard flip is practical. Maybe I should start growing dreadlocks too? We be jammin', mon.

I bet I can wrestle your umbrella to the ground and teach it some manners. Though, let's be honest, sometimes the finger is warranted in traffic around here.

Oh god, please no. I get that you can probably hear me laughing from your office but that’s not a sign that should do this. You grow your hair any longer and I’ll put nets in it. After that week, I’m practically an expert on nautical hairdos. Maybe I should practice, just in case that weird shit happens again.

[…] Do you think it’ll happen again?

True. I’m just glad it’s a finger. Any more spunky and it’ll start mooning cars as we pass by. Hopefully you’ll show it how it’s done.

I can, but I actually thought the mental images were pretty nice! Nautical hairdos almost me spew water all over my keyboard, just so you know. I guess you would be an expert on that.

[...] Honestly, yeah. I do. I mean...it has to, right? After all this dream-related and mirror shit freaked us out? It can't just stop there.

Do you think I moon passing cars on a regular basis, Blondie?

Yes! Score one for Cassie. Since you liked them so much I’ll be sure to get you and your dreads something adorable and aquatic. I still vote against it but I do think that octopus is a good look for you.

I was hoping you wouldn’t say that. I mean, I got used to it by the end, but it’d be nice to not have to worry about waking up to weirdness anymore. Are you still having dreams about m?

I think you’ve got a pretty nice ass and I wouldn’t blame you showing it off. But not in front of my impressionable little umbrella. You’re supposed to be setting an example.

You're the best. Octopus, huh? Wow. That's pretty intense. Be in wonderment of all eight of my tentacles!

I was hoping I wouldn't have to say it. But I don't want to lie or say 'oh yeah, everything's cool' and then tomorrow we'll end up with Shamu at Sea World. Dreams, well, yeah...on and off. Your dreams have been normal?

How about if I save the mooning just for you or do you think I have a shot at a career as a Chippendales dancer?

All the better to hug.

I dunno. I think it would be pretty awesome to wake up next to killer whales. But we’ve already established that I’m a weirdo. Dreams have been mostl mostly normal. Nothing really unusual, I think. I mean, they’re dreams. When is weird too weird?

You tell me, Paul. Can you dance? Should I ask for a demo?

Damn straight. Those tentacles have 240 suction cups to use in grasping their prey.

You wouldn't mind waking up next to killer whales? Noted. Alright, spill, what have you been dreaming of? Or do I have to coax it out of you...nicely?

Set the scene. Have we been drinking?

Considering some of my exes, I think killer whales are an upgrade. And you know, I was all ready to tell you my (hopes and) dreams but now that you offered an alternative, let’s see you coax. Nicely.

As for the chippendancing front: yes to drinking, but not a lot. Just enough for you to loosen up and for me to giggle at nothing and ask for anything. Music. What are you about to get down to?

Ha! I didn't want to bring that up since I don't know your exes, but that's also noted. Please tell me about your (hopes and) dreams? I made sure that you were going out in the lab again next week while I go to the boring meetings no one wants to go to. And I can also coax nicely after work.

Dynamite by Taio Cruz, obviously. Can you handle this awesome?

Well since you pulled strings and asked so nicely I guess I can tell you. It’s actually not very exciting. The hype’s too high now. I just keep having the same dream of swimming. Sometimes to something but usually away, and always far below surface. I don’t ever have to come up for air. But more than that there’s… Like you know that feeling you get when you’re just lying in water? How light you feel? Now imagine being completely weightless. Just one with the waves. And it feels so real. Like I used to dream about flying and I swore I could feel my arms moving but these are way more vivid. It sounds completely out there and new age-y when I type it out but that’s what it was. Nothing bad, righ. Very boring.

Oh I think so, but there's only one way to find out.

So you're one with the waves? No, that makes sense. Mine are usually more...event-oriented, like with actual people, but I always feel at home in the ocean. Maybe yours means you...are the sea. Or something?

Oh man. You are very lucky, you know. Not just anyone gets a drunken Paul W. Halloran dance.

Or something. But that makes no sense. Not that dreams are supposed to make sense in the first place, but you know what I mean.

A dance? Oh no, no, no. You make it sound like this is a one time only thing. I better be lucky enough to get more. And if not, I'll pick up more bottles to improve my luck. What's your poison?

It makes sense considering I previously dreamed of dolphins who do my bidding and me just sitting around going, 'you know what would be awesome? A fish that looks like a star BAM!' And it happens.

Well, it depends. Give me a Corona or ten and I might entertain the thought of getting down to Taio Cruz but Grey Goose means it's time for Sussudio by Phil Collins.

See, that sounds way more fun than mine of epic tranquil. Why don't I ever get the fun dreams? I'd like to see the design notes on blobfish.

I'm so picking up Grey Goose on the way home tonight.

Epic tranquil sounds nice though. At least your sleep is peaceful. Blobfish and squareopus were both tossed into the circular files, definitely.

I bet. And now you won't find me sexy anymore. What the hell does Sussudio even mean?

Epic tranquil is epic boring. I’d trade you if I could. I want to swim with the dolphins (which is so drastically different than swimming with the fishes).

Who knows! I always thought it was about a girl named Sussudio. Wikipedia says I’m wrong. I don’t like Wiki today. And I’ll always find you sexy. If it helps, I promise I’ll oggle you in your wetsuit on our dive. I was planning to anyway, but I’ll throw in more swooning.

Hmm! Well, maybe you'll have more epic dreams sometime soon? They have to be headed your way. Why am I the only one having doofy dreams about us, waaah And no swimming with the fishes in that way, if you please.

According to urbandictionary.com, it is also 'a gambling aristocrat.' Who knew? Swooning would be nice. I'll ogle you too, if you don't mind. I was planning to anyway but I was going to be subtle about it.

Hopef Am I really hoping for weird dre We’ll see. I’m going to keep crossing my fingers that you’ll get tranquil ones. Are you having trouble sleeping?

I don’t even know how gambling aristocrat figures in there. I’ll stick to my original reasoning and marvel at how bad of a name it is. And now that I know, I’ll be sure to be not so subtle about my posing. If I do a lot of stretching and bending over, it’s for your benefit. You should totally return the favor.

Sometimes. I mean, I'll wake up in the middle of the night and you know how it is when you get off a roller coaster? It still feels like you're on it when you lie down? I always feel like I'm still in the water.

I should, eh? Well, since you're being so generous about your stretching and bending over, I guess I can too. Besides, it's important to be limber before scuba diving. Riiiight!

Yeah, I get what you mean. I wish there was something I could say about that but. Yeah. Fingers crossed that you get tranquil ones. Ocean sounds before bedtime, maybe?

Oh man, this trip is going to be awesome, I can feel it. You better sneak in some detours to the gun show, or else I’m going to have to ask for my money back.

It's okay. I know it seems weird, but I wish everything was figured out, you know? And not just 'um, quit eating Doritos before bed, Paul.' That's what endless youtube is for.

I won't disappoint, I promise. I want you to feel as if you got your full money's worth here!
