my kid and i took a nap after school and i had a dream that this cop guy kept following us around and he stopped me and was showing me pictures of her saying he was really her dad. it was weird as fuck. also, there were flies attacking us. my brain is weird.

I don't believe there's any point in trying to analyse them from a mental health perspective. Much like sitting my clients down and opening a consultation by first asking about their relationship with their mother/father/neighbor's kid's pet's uncle.

If it's not obvious (ie. fear of bears, fear of heights, fear of losing your car, etc.) or recurrent, then it's most likely electrical brain impulses that pull random thoughts and imagery from your memories and you're actually constructing the narrative of the dream once you wake up.

Humans, man, we try to make sense of everything.
