Having been holed up in a hotel room for most of my stay here so far, I need something fun to do.

The problem I run into is this, I'm not too familiar with this town. So, suggestions?
Honestly. Who do I have to kill to have fun?

I believe that pillaging, killing, kidnapping and whinging about being fictional are the favorite pastimes in Los Angeles population.

I have the pillaging and killing down. I've never been big with the kidnapping. Too much effort to keep the person alive and healthy enough to be leverage. I'd rather just eat them.

Fictional? Really? I'm in books, but then...I know the author who wrote them. Historical passed off as fiction.

I have only tried "killing" of the list; the others hold no real interest to me. You are out of the popular choices, I'm afraid.

And see, I'm trying to be the good vampire and not kill. And that's the only real option open on that list.

So, have you found something that makes you fictional?

Have you, really? Can you control your impulses that well?

I have. It was quite inaccurate and vague, but amused my cousin and myself for the evening.

Only since getting into town. But then, I have a willing donor for blood, so why bother with the unwilling? And yes, I can. My world's vampires aren't a slave to their impulses.

At least you were able to find amusement from it.

The vampires of your world are bloody fortunate.

My family is used to fictional popularity of both, the accurate and inaccurate kind. It would be undignified to throw a fit about a form of flattery.

You don't gain the age we hold by advertising to every hunter and witch where you are with a littering of dead bodies. So, it's more by necessity.

Am I allowed to know what exactly the fictionally inaccurate media is, what the title is anyway? Or is that classified too?

The trail is precisely a call to be killed. This is why your lot appear different.

This wouldn't be classified, but I chose to not say it. I have experienced betrayal recently, thus I can't disclose information about my lifestyle or my world to someone I met in the internet a few days ago.

And yet, the darker parts of the our world still live. Human slave trade Just better hidden. Better controlled. And better cleaned up.

I can understand that. And we could always change that. Meet in person and all.

They always are. Don't think I am not aware of them myself.

We could. But I would rather spend time in finding a way out of this world than answering social calls. It is a force of habit to be almost alone. Unless you share a common interest about seeking the forces responsible for our abductions and the exit, perhaps we should meet.

Somehow, I doubt a human will know fully how deep the darkness gets without traveling in. And then, there's never a sure bet that the human will come out.

I'm all for finding a way out of this world. What I wouldn't give to be back in my New York and toss Fala around a bit. Though I'm thinking it's going to be a harder challenge than it even looks, being that no one seems to have any clue as to the how and why.

What hotel are you holed up in? I finally have money and I'm not spending another evening in a homeless shelter.

Oh, same here. I'm going insane. We could meet up, sometime? For coffee. I don't like coffee but that seems to be the thing people meet up to drink.

Christy. A witch. A very, very bored witch who has resorted to asking intriguing men out to coffee.

And even though you don't like coffee?

Sounds like fun.
Then really, why invite someone to go get a cup? Make it tea, or something. Whatever your preference is, anyway.

I'm not familiar with a lot of the drinks that people go out for. I spent the majority of my life in the underworld. Water's my kind of thing.

And really, I've never seen anyone say, "Hey, how's about we grab a few bottled waters!"

Underworld? What's that?

But there is always, 'Hey, how about we grab a drink?' Which leaves the actual drink of choice up for debate.

It's where demons typically hang out in the reality I'm from. So that 'good' doesn't kick their asses while they sleep. It's under ground, deep under ground, so there's no sunlight. Or coffee.

But then people tend to assume it's an alcoholic drink, which isn't good at all. I've never tasted alcohol before but it sounds terrible.

Ahhh. Shame. The people of my world build cities and just keep them really secretive.

Depends on the person. And depends on the alcohol and what you're use to drinking, and how acute you are to picking specific tastes out of what you are drinking.

Isn't it? Now that I'm frequently bathed in sunlight, I don't know how I survived so long without it.

Maybe I'll try some sometime.
