So. Apparently leaving isn't an option.

Anyone care to explain to me why everyone was so insistent that I do it if you had any idea I'd only end up right back where I started?

No, leaving the city isn't an option. But that doesn't mean you can't leave us alone. God, I miss Gabriel.

You look like someone who meant a great deal to a lot of us. Just your presence here is tormenting.

No, pretty much stuck in the city as far as I can tell. There are worse places to be trapped though.

What did you expect them to say?

Yeah you're gonna be. You'll hear it a lot. So do I.

They're not wrong to say it though. Some things you don't make up for. People have long memories

Human nature. It's a common reaction as old as time itself. When faced with a threat, whether present or possible at some future point, people tend to want to cast them as far away as possible. Or end it. Or drag them to a church on a rainy night with the intent to kill you And.. hello, I'm Damien.

[Sylar]
It probably won't change. People can be a bit irrational when it comes to things like this.. you know with the "getting out" part. And you don't even have to do anything here to get that reaction. I think it's similar with that Davis guy.

And doing good stuff, that probably won't matter.. they'd still not every trust. Some of the heroes are like that. One can do good deeds and such for all time and they'd still come back with a snarky insult or still want the head on a platter. And all based on something one did before back home, or maybe something they're supposed to do based on an old, outdated book.

They believe themselves to be morally superior, and beliefs are next to impossible to change. It's rather disheartening, really, that people can't be a little more open minded.

Yes, that's exactly it. I had thought I was the only one who saw that. They're like stone. You can even show them proof that they're wrong on an issue and they still won't see it.. and hate you for being right. And they can probably even use methods a villain would do, and not feel badly. But I'm used to the verbal (and physical) attacks by now, comes with the territory. Even though it does seem to be getting old now.

You could even help stop one of the Apocalypses, or stop a few vamps from killing an innocent, and they'd still be judging from their mountain. There's been a couple already since I was here. Even the Biblical one. This city.. so many weird stuff happens here. There's been truth serum in water, complete silence, uber demons, magic vamps, Hellgods.. lot of weird shit. Though the "baddie" thing on these boards.. seems a bit naive. The world isn't always just black and white.

Maybe they thought things would change? People do randomly get sent home and then brought back, they sent me home for a while.

Do you really not understand the emotional reasons why someone would want you to leave, or are you just objecting to the logic alone?
