For the first time in thirty one years, I finally made the trip to Las Vegas. Still not sure it's as amazing as they say it is but the nightlife certainly is flashier than Los Angeles. Made two thousand on the card tables. I was up to three and a half at one point but a mind reader joined the game. Took me three hands to realize it. I'm getting rusty.

But the best part of that vacation has to be the gold ring around my finger that says I belong to a beautiful woman with the patience of a saint to put up with me.

Nice. A hell of a lot less stress. All you've got to do is remember the ring and the license and the only person you've got to think about is the one standing in front of you.

The trick to it is most won't look up from their cards because they don't need the other players' tells. Three hands of staring intently at their cards and winning is a big tip off. No one is that lucky.

It happens. We were still good friends before I arrived here. Maybe she'll show up? Fuck, I hope not.

Great. Now I just need clients and co-workers. I have one. It's a... small start. Need to pick your brain on that thing we talked about, but uh... My co-worker is very hesitant about meeting you. Will have to be just us. He's the one I was telling you about.
