This place is beautiful and after everything, I didn't think I'd ever find beauty in anything. Not that I deserved to anyway.

Hi, I'm Clarke. I just arrived here. And it's far from Camp Jaha so no one can find me. That's all that matters.

You can get lost in the jungle, but once you get oriented it's not that hard to find your way around. Uphill is usually away from the beach, camp is on the west side of the island near a stream that runs down to the beach, stuff like that.

I'll come to the waterfall and then show you around the main camp. We'll find you a temporary shelter, and I can give you a hammock so you won't have to sleep on the ground.

Back home, it was kind of the same with how we found out way back to Camp Jaha and before, the drop ship. You learn your way. At least there are not Grounders.

It's no trouble, I have one already made. I try to make hammocks for all the new people to use until they get beds.

The laws were based on keeping the majority of the Ark alive. They...were not meant to be fair. My dad reaped the horrible benefits of that.

Did she tell you how they executed people?

it sounds even worse than where I'm from. The Capitol treats people from the Districts pretty harshly, but they don't kill us for every little infraction.

More like a dictatorship, with the President as ruler. But it's not just him, all the people in The Capitol are incredibly privileged compared to the District people.
